Something worth noting is that instead of dremeling the ball detent on the internal trigger lever, i found that it was quite a bit easier to dremel the detent on the opposite side of the housing as it is a fixed part that is more easily removed and held when using a dremel.

The four black things on the motor terminals are the inductors, and it looks like there were 2 capacitors on each motor PCB. The PTC thermistor/polyfuse should be on the PCB next to the +ve battery spring terminal.

Picked one of these up back in 2019 from another yard sale. Just pulled it out of the closet for use in a Stargate SG-1 cosplay. The motor and LiPo rewiring look pretty legit. But I'll probably keep it semi-auto just so I don't have to go and pick up a bunch of foam balls.

Nice vid, I just got a pair of these and while I like the semi-auto fire, I'm looking into improving the performance and swapping out the battery tray for a rechargeable. I think it's stupid the khaos gets that option and not these. Anyway, I have some questions if you can answer them. 1. all the crap you removed from the spinners, is that all just governing hardware that regulates the rpm? Is the direct wire relay what increases the rpm? 2. what was the purpose of modding the charging trigger? does that decrease the charging time? 3. does it matter what kind of rechargeable battery pack I use? and if so, what do you recommend for safety/performance? I've never done any Nerf modding, so sorry if these are noob question. I totally expect them to be. Please and thank you.

i think semi-auto would still be a ranged primary. With the bursts you're pulling and the number of shots it outputs per trigger pull, this looks like the most badass pseudo-shotgun you could make for a nerf war.

I know you answered ZeeLee 88 (and from watching the video) that a programmed burst-fire would be nigh impossible, but what about making some sort of analog switch, so that you can change between full and semi-auto? I'm thinking you could leave the entire ball-stopper mechanism in the blaster, and instead only remove the pin that lets the trigger-pull activate it. Then, after some shell cutting, you could replace it with an extended pin which can be removed (to activate full-auto) or replaced (to return to semi-auto) from the mechanism. Obviously, you would have to attach the pin to the blaster with some lanyard so you don't lose it, but do you think that would work? I haven't gotten my hands dirty in the guts of a Zeus like you have, so I'm actually asking.

Would it have been possible to use the existing stock battery compartment, and hollow it out to except one of the higher end airsoft batteries? Some of those batteries or so thin that you might even be able to squeeze a back up battery next to the one plugged in.

hey Drac. just an idea but since the rival ammunition are balls then putting a slight backspin on the balls would result in a slight lift theoretically improving the range. maybe putting a resistor on the top flywheel would impart some backspin on the balls. just an idea I wanted to share. any thing for extra range, am I right?

Nice video. I would have liked it if you showed the complete battery section overhaul. Also, did you put more of the weight in the front or the back? I would think having the weight closer to your elbow would allow for more leverage and won't tire your wrist out. But maybe the gun isn't that heavy now that you've replaced the C(?) batteries. Good job.

Drac. You should take out a part of the stock so you can reload faster and easier. It would help a lot switch the full auto and depleting your ammo

I had removed the spring in the magazine release. The spring doesn't help as the plastic acts as a spring like the Rotofury trigger.

no I have attempted this you need a LiPo. My blaster gets jammed at the 6th round because of the lack of power.

I have done that mod And i somehow got a 11volt lipo in my zeus plus i sanded out the flywheels And its fps is about 134-7 feet per second thank you for the idea dude

Inside the orange barrel used for cosmetics at the muzzle of the blaster, there is a short black rubber piece protruding from the top of its interior. It seems to be affecting accuracy when firing on my full auto mode but i cannot be sure... I was wondering if it is recommendable/necessary to remove it or not and what function it plays in the blaster.

Hello, I acquired a zeus and it doesn't not operate. Busted it open and wired it similarly to your mod with the original Rev switch. The motors would not spin at all when tested with aligator clips directly connected to the battery. I also tried testing each motor seperately with no luck. Any ideas?

well this will be my first time modding an electric nerf gun, so I have a few questions. What are the circuit boards on top of the motors actually for? should I remove the little rubber stopper in the barrel (I suspect it's there to simulate the inaccuracies of actual automatic rifles)? and do I need to replace the switches in the handle if I remove the circuits from the motors?

So because of how easy this is to do, and the absolute lack of difficulty that goes into making a better ammunition system for this thing, was there ever a point to the Khaos? The Zeus is more compact, and can beat its ROF with very simple modding

I just found your videos, and noticed something that might actually not be critical. You seem to be using thick lead solder. That solder is not ideal for electronic parts as the acid flux it contains can and will cause corrosion to copper wiring, and slight rusting to the stainless steel surface of the brushed motors in there. Just a heads up!
