Great explanation! I have got an assesment tomorrow and I have never studied this subject, but I need to know it and in 5 minutes I understand everything from this video! Great job! My teacher would have not managed to explain this so simple and clear in a whole lesson. Thank you!

quick question, is there a synapse between the relay and motor neurone as well or is it only there in between the sensory and relay?

but I still don't know what is the synapse
@mollyhardwicke89934 жыл бұрын
Hey. The synapse is the gap between two neurones. For an electrical signal to cross to another neurone, in order to be carried to the CNS, it has to cross a gap between each neurone. This gap is called the synapse. However, to cross this gap, the impulse has to change into a chemical impulse, rather from electrical. Hope this helps :) If you search the synapse up and look online you can find some helpful images. I will leave you with a link. That gap is the synapse and the little dots in-between represent the impulse being carried as a chemical. :)
