Fun fact: The Hot Seat won the "Is This Peripheral Really Necessary?" Award by the Chicago Tribune's coverage of the Summer CES 1991 show! Apparently the suggested retail price was originally $99. Looks like it got marked down extremely quickly.

Gaming Historian Have you ever tried the Aura Interactor for the Sega Genesis? I had it when I was a kid. It was basically a backpack used for a rumble feature add on. I remember playing Jurassic Park for Genesis and the T-Rex saying “Sega” made that pack go crazy. Lol.

A few years ago, I was browsing my friend's collection and I stumbled upon this "Hot Seat." I had never seen it before and was puzzled by how it even worked. Well I finally decided it was time to try this thing out! It's honestly kinda cool, even if it doesn't work all that well. Hope you all enjoy learning about it as much as I did!

If you can get your hands one one (they're very rare), it'd be awesome if you could do a video on the NES Hands Free Controller (HFC). It was one of the first controllers designed for disabled players, with a chin-operated joystick and a breath tube for operating the face buttons. There's not much detailed information about it online, and I'd really love to know more about how video game companies have attempted to make their games more accessible to the disabled community over the years.

@@liengandriod55 There is no risk to actually using them. It's only Mercury Vapor that's dangerous, which if the device is working means that it's in a properly sealed tube and won't result in any harm. The three reasons they where drop is because as seen here, they aren't accurate do to splash back and having to wait for travel time. Modern Gyro became a cheaper solution and because devices that use Mercury can't be easily dispose off, as throwing them in the Trash is a health risk to garbage employees as the tubing can break and release Vapor. There's channels who mine gallons of Mercury and even directly touch it and they didn't get Mercury poisoning.
