I hear you with bringing them up early on the two wheel. I got a 1988 Honda xr200. Things starts first kick every time. My son Bobby when he was like maybe one and a half almost two I used to drive him around the neighborhood he would sit in front of me and hold on to the handle but iPad. One day we were cruising around maybe an hour and a half. I pull up to the garage get off the bike and put the kickstand down. And I said come on to get off and he just sitting here looking straight ahead with his helmet on. And I look over he's passed out sleeping. He was sleeping on the bike while we were cruising around the neighborhood. He is a total dirt bike junkie. Has a 70cc. A 125 piranha that he rips on. He was 8 years old when we got him that bike and he just got on it and ripped I thought it might be a little too tall but the electric start he just jumped on and took off. He has a nickname The neighbors gave him. 4B. Big bad Bobby bodel.. yep keep them riding. I was riding with them yesterday it was really soft sand I took a hit. I didn't have my chest protector out of my elbow smashed my ribs I'm f****** pretty sore today. 50 years old still ripping though. I love my XR 200. I got a 94 CR250 complete front end. And the fast Eddie bearings bolt on swap. Would be interested in that vintage setup but I want to keep a light on it. I'll have to check out your website and see if you have anything available do you have kits to swap on two bikes. Would definitely be interested in doing a vintage '70s track a hooligans with my XR. I got one for my son, put it together, only two minor glitches: seat mount nut, right side came un-welded. Not a problem, got a hardened bolt and locking nut. Second, the battery was dead and upon charging it, the analyzer showed it has a short. Took it to Interstate and they confirmed it and I replaced it. Again, no biggie. Filled it with gas. Wouldn't start. Tried 30 minutes. Tried kickstarting it 50+ times. Nothing. I ran out of time a patience. Tomorrow after work, I'll check to see if has any spark. I know gas is getting to the carb, I checked the fuel lines, petcock, etc. Not much roll on the throttle, I suppose by design. Choke was up, did everything reasonable. Never had a bike act like that, especially new. I opted to save a little $$$ by not getting the Honda or Yamaha, but now i feel I may have made the wrong choice. I've done all the typical things you would normally do to start a functioning bike; in neutral, kickstand up, etc. UGH!
