No offense but why would JLC send a *15000* euro watch to a KZbinr with only 6150 followers? Even in the case that you have to send it back there'a a serious risk for damages, fraud and theft from JLC's perspective.

I have the blue polaris chronogragh on my wrist right now... I was very excited when I saw they were updating the model. I was hoping to get a green version like what was on the Polaris date last year. I see they did do a blue version that matches the Polaris date, so maybe next year for the green. However, they HAD to go and change the 9 sub0register. I always leave my Polaris running. Since it has a verticle clutch, this is easy to do. I picked the JLC over a 321 speedmaster mainly because I didn't want the chrono hand sitting at 12 position all the time. I like to have it running. But now JLC has taken away the ability to time something over 30 minutes... so grilling/ smoking food, timing long trips and other things you need a chronograph for just became much harder to do with this update. So, I will probably stick with my current generation polaris. Not a bad option... but that panda and future green dial would have been really nice if they had just left the movement alone.

Can you change the strap to a ss bracelet? On the website i see you cannot order this strap when you search by reference, i wonder if it is compatible?

I really didn't like the revamped Polaris line when it released. Especially the time-only model. It was too big and looked uninteresting. This model in the gray colourway significantly improves the Polaris line. The colour really pops, and the dial looks nice and balanced. I just hope they kept the gold rotors and not transition to tungsten.

Design wise it's wonderful, among my favorites on the market right now, the running second at 9 instead of the 12 hours counter, those orange accents and the contrasting tachymeter are exactly what the watch needed IMO. The only reason I am not instantly buying is that 42mm case: why? The time only version is 41mm and they should have kept that size for the chronograph and Memovox versions.... Even the movment is too small for that case size, you can see it when looking at the display caseback. Anyway it's a great watch, a 9/10 one

Love this watch. It’s like an explorer mashed up with a submariner and a Daytona. Price point isn’t too bad when you factor the discount ADs will give to move this watch. Overall great work, as expected from JLC.

Why do JLC make it in these huge dimensions? If it were 39mm and 12mm thick, would be way better! With the tiny movement, it should be easily possible too...

@@AleksWatches It’s very different for my collection which mainly consists of thinner, smaller pieces like Holthinrichs, Kudoke, Cartier and Piaget. However, even though it’s larger, I find myself wearing it frequently, maybe because it’s new, we’ll see. In any case, besides a couple G-Shocks, it’s my only sports watch (since moving away from Rolex) and I’m enjoying it.

Nice looking piece. However, the JLC forums constantly talk about technical issues with their watches...which is one of the 2 reasons I stay away from JLC. The 2nd reason is horrific resale value.
