If you can ride at those speeds, its effectively a motorcycle. I would expect to wear proper gear and helmet. My concern is, it's a heavy bike and fast. If you hit a pedestrian, they would be seriously hurt. What's preventing unlicensed younger person from riding one?
@donadams8345

The way he is riding it would be illegal in my state which just passed a fairly draconian law on e-bikes. It may not even be legal to sell such a bike now in the state. Riding at that speed in a bike lane would definitely be a no no. There have to be some rational decisions made on the where e-bikes become motorcycles with regard to power, speed licensing and where they can ride.

Compared to a 20inch moped style bike, the 26x4 full suspension Wired bikes provide a most comfortable and capable ride. You can go easily go over obstacles that would swallow a 20 inch tire. By far the most comfortable bike I have ever ridden. Love the ability to ride on bike paths in complete stealth and rip it on the street.

They used those handle bars because they are 10 X's more comfortable than mountain bike handle bars..Mountain bike handle bars are made for jumping, down hill on single track, for true mountain biking..There is no true mountain biking on a bike like that, no matter the handle bars..Especially the older you get, mountain bike handle bars hurt your wrists, hands and back, BMX handle bars do not..Putting thicker, more appropriate tires on the bike would be a much better idea, but to each their own..

When we had to build and piece meal our BMX bikes back in the early 70's you either used heavy motorcycle bars or we like to use Schwinn Jr. bars they were shorter that the banana seat type bars and were straight vertically unlike the bars like cow horns type. We also put those bars on our 10 speeds. Thanks, good point on those bars on the is E Bike.

@@Moondoggy1941 hah UK here, back in the late 60s early 70s my best mate and l used to make our own bikes from bits and pieces of bikes others no longer used, wheel from here frame from there handlebars from someplace else, Cowhorns were my favorites big n wide, didnt get a banana sest until the Raliegh Chopper bikes had been out a year or two and were being discarded, we had n Schwinns over here tho l had seen them in movies and in DC comics advertisments, was always impressed by how modern they looked for the times they were made in, the ones from the fifties looked fantastic. BMXbars are the bezt on e bikes I'd say from personal experience especially with a tech bar across the middle for modem screens, mirrors, and phone holders. Love these bike now, would have been over excited if they had been around in my youth lol.

For having two 60v batteries I expected top speed to be faster. What’s the wheel size? How much does the bike weight? Does it have a switch to toggle thru what battery or both battery you use? How lOng is the range? How long does it take to charge?
@thebikecave

Having 2 batteries will only in crease the range. The weight is 105lbs. Both batteries get used at the same time. Range is 40-50 with the throttle and 80-90 in pedal assist. It comes with 2 chargers and they charge the batteries in about 5hours.

I’ve always felt that bicycle riders should feel what I feel wile riding at real speeds. These new electric motorcycles are what you should get though because if you want to pedal you’re going to get on your bicycle or peloton anyway, may as well be able to get to 100mph 😂

Hello from Phoenix, Arizona. Thank you so much for the video. I’ve been looking at electric bikes for a while, but I haven’t done a serious deep dive. What I really want is just someone to tell me which one is the best one biggest bang for the buck and I’m starting to feel like this is it. The only thing I can see wanting is Maybe a different kind of seat where I could ride someone on the back with me if necessary, necessary because it certainly seems to have the power. I don’t know if someone’s able to ride on that bike rack or not maybe you could put bunny pegs on the back?Anyway, any thoughts are appreciated but primarily want to say thank you for posting the video and the review.

Also with so so many YTubes out there showing different e-bikes ,at times I feel some are just doing videos to get clicks. I met one person who bought an e-bike from a company promoting on YT ,and he told me after 9 months battery was dead and had to buy another one which they didn't carry stock. @@lennygarrison6836 that’s a good question but it’s actually heavier because of the dual batteries. It also has a longer wheelbase so in some ways it is lighter, but the seat post is a little closer to the handlebars I think, but I have not measured it. Overall, however, the dimensions are larger. nonetheless, it does seem to be more powerful, and it could be the controller.

Why did they cheap out on an 80s era 7-speed derailler? It costs only a few dollars more to get a 9-speed, a durable, robust and proven gearset which actually is obsolete for top end bikes, but gives at least two choices of ratios close enough to each other to give some extra speed or extra comfort without creating a choice of gears in which none feel right.
@jfly2249
@jfly2249 15 күн бұрын
Because you don’t really need 10 gears when you have 3300 watts. The tourney is cheap, durable and ubiquitous and every bike shop has one in stock. Better drivetrains are needed for mid drives due to the strain on the gears. All that matters is the highest gear and the lowest gear, not how many are in between. It’s $2000 for a 3300 watt full suspension with 2100 watt hours. That said, an 8 speed would be nice.

Great presentation! The bike appears to be a combination of the 700 series Ride1up & the Himiway Cobra with lifted handle bars. I have the 700 series and the Cobra hub drive. Do you think meshing the Wired Freedom 52 tooth sprocket , the controller, and handlebars with the Himiway Cobra with an upgraded display and a 52V vs. 48V battery would be a good 2nd choice to go with? I really like the cobra frame and tire size over the WIred Freedom, but I love its price and speed. I know I could probably get 32mph+ from the Cobra upgrades, but the real question is range consistency at max speed on the flat with no assist. I'll sacrifice 5mph speed (but no lower than a consistent 30mph, though) to get a longer range of 5 miles. I'm subscribed for your feedback.

The hybrid gears in the Hengtai motor have been tested and actually have a 27,000 mile lifespan which is 5x the lifespan of a normal nylon geared hub motor. The geared hub gives you better acceleration, more torque, better efficiency, and much less weight. A direct drive will be quieter and have a higher top speed with the same wattage but the motor is about twice as heavy. For a bike that is going to be off road on occasion, the hybrid geared hub is a better option.
