Hey everyone. I wanted to let you know we are now testing the Nyctatyrannus mod on a private multiplayer server. If you comment your Alderon Id, In-Game name and discord name you could be randomly selected to play it with me and my friends! This will be happening till the end of next week :), I really enjoyed making this style of video though it is a very different take on my norm. Fun fact, All the cinematics were made with the in-game replay tool (I have beta access to it) but eventually that will be public to you too! I like the idea of the winner of the fight for that carcass watching it's opponent back off and run away injured, but to hear birds in the background as they look down on the 2 and when that one dino backed off, a flock of birds go after it. Hearing them chirp and screech once again knowing the other player didn't make it.

Watching that felt like watching a group of Crows - intelligent and opportunistic birds. I enjoyed the flyer vs aquatic situation at the start for the same reason - felt like watching a family of Crows attacking the infant of a predator in spite (as they are very known to do), only to lose one of their own to the mothers fury.

I just got back into this game earlier after finding out about the new dinos, especially the ability to fly, within 10 minutes I was invited by another Thalassodromeus, managed to complete some quests together before being killed by some alloys, I love this game ❤

It actually isn't better than The Isle. Dinosaurs don't have enough unique abilities to differentiate from each other, lots of recycled animations and sound effects, the questing and growth systems are abysmal grindy slogs and their community is teeming with toxic PVPers. But I will admit their devs know how to deliver updates on a timely schedule - even if said updates are mediocre in quality. Not that The Isle is much better though. Their dev team is truly laughable. 7 years of development with little to show for it. It's been over a year since that game received a new playable (last one being pachy) and its optimization is even worse than PoT's. Not to mention their dev team consists of pathological liars. IMO, both games are rather bad, for entirely different reasons. The Isle puts out incredibly sparse, buggy but meaningful updates that are continually bogged down by terrible optimization, while PoT chugs out monthly shallow "quantity over quality" updates that do nothing to address the core game's issues with the combat, growth and questing system. Neither of them are worth anyone's time or money at the moment.

For real.... This update felt like "Path of Titans 2" The improved controls, new dinos, mechanics, WONDERFUL map, everything. IMPO this was the update where Path stopped competing with Isle. Like....this update surpassed all of Isle's combined updates for the year. (Amazing what having development goals, plans, and etc can do.)

Why is it a fisher tho. Why. It was a terrestrial carnivore that could go into full gallop and hunt relatively large prey. If they wanted a diving fisher they should've added geostenbergia or smth instead of teasing us with this unique pterosaur just to make it eat fish.
