It would be a fantastic treat for the fans of this talented group would tour. ;) What I love the most about the New Basement Tapes is that even though it isn't Dylan singing, you can clearly hear his influence in all the lyrics.

Lost my job and my girl dumped me a couple of weeks ago. I’m Spanish, and I’m moving to London in 10 days, I just got my plane tickets. I’m gonna try to make a living there, turn my life around. Guys, believe me when I say that I'm down on the bottom. No place to go now… but up.

Wow man. Costello, Yim Yames and then Marcus Mumford on the skins. What a nice collective The New Basements became, the music is great. And to top it off, all in tribute to the great Bob Dylan.

Still one of my very favorite albums! The alchemy of these musicians (and who would have thought to bring this group together but T Bone Burnett? It's magic.) creates such an intense energy, I envy those who where at this concert to feel it in person. I just love that they recorded the making of the album so that you can see the creative energy come together to make each song. [Full disclosure: I've never been a Dylan fan. Sorry. My favorite work of his he did with the Traveling Wilburys] The lyrics are good, yes, but I think what really makes it is the music that this group created and their performances.

I loved MMJ old stuff, but not so much their recent stuff. Jim James needs to sing like this more often! He has an incredible voice and needs to showcase it a little more just like he did here! INCREDIBLE!

Bob Dylan's own songwriting mastery, and presence with any covers of him take the stage - of course. But, being further addressed by proven talents like Elvis Costello, Marcus Mumford and Jim James (to name just a tiny-bit) . . . yes, even "The Mighty Quinn"(Quinn, The Eskimo) must be proud.
