@@exoticplayz482 Cape gliding wasn't that prevalent at all throughout Batman's history. Most Bat incantations can't do it, so they use some sort of contraption to glide, and that shouldn't be. They shouldn't be able to outright fly like that of course, but gliding gracefully through the Gotham skies should be doable by only using his cape. It's cool, and it makes sense for a character like Batman to have multiple uses for his cape. Fireproof cloak, gliding, enemy distraction during fights. He shouldn't wear that cape just because it's cool. Let's make it practical and useful.

Because if you look at the Begins when he's doing said training, and fighting pre returning to Gotham and becoming Batman, the fights are much faster paced. Bruce donning the cape and cowl was a serious learning curve because it slowed him down immeasurably, even after separating the plates of the armor in TDK. This concept isn't new to Batman as a character and is implemented to further the grounded nature of the films. It was a creative decision you're more than welcome to either like or dislike.

I actually appreciate how they did Pattinson’s Batman. Said himself it’s his second year, obviously the glider is technology he hasn’t used/ used much therefore he’s not proficient (which is why he hesitated to jump I doubt he’s afraid of heights). I bet in the next installments he’ll be more competent with his various gadgets/ technology. And I can appreciate that type of character progression 👌🏽.
