I never think about using spools for items, I'd prefer characters skins generally. But the dread armor becoming from the worst skin to of the the best head armor skins makes possibly more worth than most character skins in my opinion.

Here is a tip: If you can't afford to buy these skins just buy them go in game to get them then ask for a refund from Steam. You will get to keep the skins and your money. Please use this if you really can't afford to buy them though. Klei deserves every single penny they get. Also keep in mind that doing this more than once can attract unwanted attention which can end up with suspension.
