Four months ago I bought an 07 1300R VTX. I had a Kawasaki Vulcan 1500. I like my Honda better. Haven't had a Honda since the 1960s.

Nice man! I really like how the VTX rides and looks compared to some Vulcans. And the reliability I have seen is nuts. There are a few guys on youtube with over 200 000 miles all stock, hard to not love them! Ride safe my friend!

Those Honda VTX will last over 200,000 miles or 300,000km its no joke. Here Finland i have seen couple with 280-300tkm with 3500-4000€ price tag.

Agreed. That’s partially why I wanted the bike. Seems insane they can get so much mileage.

haha Could be two words but whose counting! I actually just modified the seat because I'm poor and have been fixing the bike up a bit over the winter. Excited to start the season though! Ride safe.

How can they get away with a single disc front brake on a1300??

I agree with you, most bikes should have two front discs these days. But to be honest I never had any issues with it. I rebuilt the front master cylinder and the breaks always worked great, even for a beefy bike. I did lock them up a few times however, but it's good practice haha. Maybe the logic was its not a super fast bike so they skimped on breaking power? Not good logic but...

What pipes do you have on your VTX?

I believe they are called Hard Chrome. I got them with the bike, and my brother says they are Hard Chrome pipes, I’m not sure they make these exact ones but they have similar ones that are a bit longer. Good price and sound great!
