Your demonstrations of the torque and pick-up of the shift cam engine make it very enticing to trade up to the newer version. I'm fighting like _ell not to succumb. Also couldn't help but notice you have throttle-blip-itis of your right hand when coming to a stop. Nice review. They say the R1250 motor will change your life. Pure enjoyment. I do love the updated RT horn. It’s a real horn like the K series. How are these bike on your knees over the long haul. Where do you stretch your legs after a while?

Couldn't agree more! As for stretching the legs they make some highway pegs for the engine guards. I've never felt the need for it but seems like a good idea especially on long trips.

Enjoyed the content and subscribed. This bike is on my shortlist for Oct 21. (Get all the bugs out) I do 3 to 6 month contracts across several states, and this is an ideal platform for the application and modality. My question though, Can you do 8 hours in the saddle or is that strictly the domain of the KTL, GoldWing or Harley

The BMW RT telelever, paralever suspension paired with the Dynamic ESA is a game changer allowing a rider to ride longer and safer. Some of those touring bikes their suspension is questionable and one of the things I look for in my touring bikes is "suspension" because if the suspension is no good then doing longs hours in the saddle is not going to be very comfortable.

After riding and seeing the new BMW R1250 RT it was an immediate feeling without question and beyond doubt that I wanted to take it home. I haven't seen all the colors in person so I would like to hear your thoughts on color choices for both the 2021 and 2022 RT's? I have the same blue sports color. The change for 2022 is a triple black which replaced the Manhattan.... I Still like the blue, but I color coded the black plastic pieces (where your knees and lower leg sits) Looks much better now (imo). safe riding buddy from South Africa 🇿🇦

I just bought a 2021 and generally like it so far. The dash is nice once you can figure out how to use it. The storage compartments are still useless. I cannot put my I-phone 12 pro max in the right compartment or the left. Cannot get a pair of gloves or sunglasses in the left compartment. Runs well and seems to have plenty of power. Im not a fan of the quick favorite buttons on the left side because 2 of the 4 are useless and they cannot be programed. It is comfortable and deflects air nicely. Handles pretty well but seems top heavy compared to my Kawasaki Concours 14. Great feel on the super slab highway and higher speeds. Cruise control is also a nice feature. Still trying to find a mount area for my cell phone since it wont fit in the phone compartment!! Tank bag helps but costs a small fortune for a BMW bag. I give it an 8.5 on a 10 scale for the price of this thing!

This is how I mount my cell phone on the RT; I listed an updated parts list on the description which now has a bolt kit that you can get from your local dealer. I don’t know what was on the replies that was removed, but in regard to possibility of a larger compartment I saw a video on how to uncover one, just search on ; ‘BMW R1250RT Remove speaker cover to use for storage’, might be what the removed upload was. Shows dimensions as 6” but looks to me like the Max 12 Pro would fit across corners, maybe ? I have the 12 max pro, just need the 1250’RT, currently on a 2017 1200 RT - Love it !

Hmm - NO buttons on the LHS are assignable on the bike at present. I don't know what you mean by a "full size phone" but many phones - e.g.my iPhone 11 Pro Max will not fit in the compartment if it is in any kind of sleeve - and without a sleeve the phone is very slippery....in fact the compartment appears to be the same size as it was on the previous model, but it is now filled with the wireless charging platform instead of the pretty useless USB lead. You don't mention the severe problems with the navigation system which many owners are having.... Still, it's a great bike 😎

The left buttons are assignable and my S10 smartphone with a quad lock case fits on the right-side compartment. The navi with the BMW connected app worked great for me.

@@masterspin7796 I actually find the RT a lot easier to maneuver around at slow speed then most bikes. Just keep the motor in the friction zone the bike is so well balanced.

Just purchased 2022 Triple Black RT, gorgeous machine. Waiting on crash bars for engine and panniers before riding, maybe also buying a 28L top case (?). Looking forward to putting on miles on my new BMW.

I actually bought some crash bars both for the engine and panniers. But I decided i dont want the bars on the bike so prefer to ride without them. I ride with the 28L top case and love it!

You have come to the wrong video, if you are looking for those animated voices, showing pre-stock photos over and over again, with digital music in the background. If on the other hand you happen to want to hear the actual bike rev up it's throaty torque beastly engine with a real guy speaking English riding a real 2021 RT in the Western USA,. Stick around... This TFT is terrible. When you get into tunnel, suddenly we can see how many infos there are. For me, touch screens in cars' dashboards suck, trying to avoid them in any case. So any LCD would be the last thing I want on my bike. If you wear fluo coloured helmet or even jacket.....you only would see reflections on TFT. Navigation is not standalone and needs phone all the time. It sucks again. Setting new destination or any other detail, via phone only. Whatever is this bike sexy, TFT makes me not buy it. Better MY 2019/2020 whith classical garmin (zumo XT).

If your referring to the quick shifter it has it but I don't need or use on my touring bikes. I prefer that on my sport bikes and use all the time when on the race track.

@@JMANmotovlog you’ll find it saves the clutch and is very effective at normal riding speeds both up and down shifts it is made for normal around town riding and highway

I felt uncomfortable watching this. Going down the middle lane of 3 lanes of traffic and messing about with the buttons! I’m almost shouting at you to stop, pull over then do all the talking you want. You sure are risking a lot doing that, you must have some sort of death wish. Why not at least pick a quieter road.
