Unending despair (on Maokai) is very fun in URF, still have to find the value in normal games for it. Also, when combined with Frozen heart, you are always in combat, even when you aren't.

The only bad thing about unending despair is that it never stops ticking even if there are no targets in range, so you can be getting kited for days and getting no value out of it because ashe has you perma slowed. Otherwise it is a perfect storm item, making you completely unkillable in teamfights, especially if you have a high hp champion like chogath or sion

Yep, knew he would get to unending despair eventually. I also really like that MR sunfire item for the Giga CSing, but I think that isn’t as important to simon because of how good he already is at farming efficiently and how you pretty much have to sell it for sunfire after full build.

honestly unending despair , eclipse , sunfire , spirit and then liandrys and you have perma proccing unending despair and eclipse with 0 interaction on 4-5sec CD which also infinitely procs liandry , also maybe except liandry or whatever , sundered sky might also be an option because of the missing health heal

Have been abusing the shield items for skarner on top lane due to gauntlet and tank tear item synergy with skarner Qs and eclipse, interesting didn’t think about the other item, the item rune really is at its peak now there’s also Shurelya for champs like skarner himself or karma on mid too etc (ew)

Pretty sure you need to get sundered sky as well, or in place of eclipse. Also you can still build heartsteel cause both sundered sky and unending despair scale with max HP and the cooldown of heartsteel is lowered with ingenious hunter.

This build is effectively a war-crime. However, as someone from the future, it's not built on Sion. The AD Fighter version (Eclipse, Sundered Sky and Black Cleaver/Profane Hydra) is abused by Pantheon and Riven, who do the same thing with even LESS counterplay. Man, even if the build is inventive, it sucks so much to lose against. There is basically no counterplay to a shield over a heal.
