Ram makes a huge difference as I have this tablet and find it fast and fluid. They have improved what needed improving e.g. ram has doubled from 2019 model to this fire hd10plus with 4gb . It runs great and at its low price and especially when on sale it’s a knockout purchase for many wanting a new tablet

I just recieved one for my birthday, and indeed, it's the greatest birthday gift ever. However, nothing compares to my miracle baby sister. Nonetheless, Amazon did an outstanding job with this one. I really like the thicker bezels on the Fire HDs-- gives you something to hold on to. I've got a Tab p11 pro and S7 fe and I'm constantly navigating away/scrolling/zooming on accident while reading. On a phone or TV I get it... but never understood why tablets try to minimize bezels as well. Don't need to fit in your pocket. Overall I use my Fire HD more often than any of my other tablets as its light, heavy duty and cheap.

Being able to add a micro SD card up to 1TB is a big increase from the last model which maxed out at 512GB. So basically doubled that. Unfortunately a 1TB micro sd costs more than the tablet itself lol. But still, maxing out the card potential is appreciated. That's a hell of a lot of games and videos you can put on a card that size.

I recently was surprised by my mom, herefore, she got me an Amazon Fire HD ten. I love it [mmuch more] than my other one, the Amazon Fire from two-thousand seventee. What I love about this one, the ten, is the super stereophonic sound. I'm a musician, technophile, audiophile, bibliophile, and cryptanalyst, amongst other gnostic epithets. Though I love electronics, nothing compares to my miracle baby sister. I would nevver put any device over her. Nonetheless, Amazon has totally systemized something for other technophiles out there.

The tablet is great if you get it on sale like prime day or holiday deals for $110. Honestly it's ideal for streaming videos, emails, web browsing, and light gaming. The display hasn't changed since it's 2017 predecessor but even for today's standards it is really good. Bluetooth 5.0 is nice, battery life is amazing, but speakers are really tinny so wired/wireless headphones is preferred. All in all really not a bad deal especially if you can snag it on sale.

The most I've managed to do on my fire 8 is to install play store. Removing all of the amazon software would be difficult and would probably have to install a new version of android but as you said the bootloader is most likely locked

I see the warranty has FINALLY been increased to one year instead of the 90day BS. This is a good thing since Fire tablets are quite death prone. My step mom has had multiple fail just outside of the warranty period. She may just have bad luck or they may be prone to being bad either way IF you decide to snag one of these I would get the extended warranty.

I've bought 7 of these (two 10s, four 8s and a 7) gifts, and as "the tech guy" of the family I'm the one that takes care of them, installs playstore etc. The only issue any of them have had in over two years is a single cracked screen in an 8 owned by a 7 year old who sat on it.

I would pick Tab S6 lite over this. You can have it in EU for under 280E now (and in US it goes for sale for as low as $200), whereas the 64GB version of Fire 10 Plus costs 229£ (260E) here. You get free stylus, slightly better CPU and better built quality with that tablet.

Yeah I agree plus it comes with a 64bit version of Android. The os on the fire is stuck at 32bits only. Anything that can only run in 64bits will not run.

I have the HD 10 plus which I use it for Netflix and Prime video and have been very pleased with the quality. Unfortunately, I can’t run Viki on it since they have stopped supporting Android. Installing the PlayStore has made a big difference to its overall functionality. They keyboard is heavy for travelling around but good for indoors. The ability to add an SD card is really useful. Extremely good value for money.

The only real upgrade hardware wise from 2019, is the 4 GB RAM, which really does not translate in more performance in a lot of apps and games. You can run more apps at the same time, but how often is that practice being used by ordinary persons. The wireless charging was an option for the 2019, and their phasing the none wireless charging models out, so that's a wash. What I am looking for is a reason to upgrade to 2021, and so far the improvements are not enough. If there was more graphics power/improvement to allow me to play Gamecube and above, I might actually be tempted. This is a hard pass, unless if I have real reason to get a second tablet.

I just bought one of these tablets and it does something very annoying. Everytime I connect it to my PC, I have to go into the usb settings on the tablet and turn on the "file transfer" option. If I disconnect the tablet it goes back to the charging device option and turns off file transfer. Is there any way to save the file transfer option to keep file transfer on? Thanks!

I have the iPhone 12 Pro Max and I've got 2 emulators installed: Delta (which does GB, GBC, GBA, N64, DS, NES, and SNES) and RetroArch . No jailbreak. Both emulators run amazingly well and get rid of the on-screen controls display when you connect a controller via Bluetooth making the experience more enjoyable.

Should have mentioned this yesterday when you could still get the deal. But, I picked up the 3gb for 79.99 not including sales tax because of Amazon prime day. Sadly, it's bac to 149.99 now. I was figuring it was gonna be $99.99 US. Nice little extra savings. Probably get another chance at Black Friday Cyber Monday. How much of a discount you get is the question. This will be my first Fire Tablet so I am looking forward to seeing how well it performs. I almost pulled the trigger on an ONN 10 tablet. Glad I waited as it would have cost me 5 bucks more for worse performance. Not that I am dogging the ONN tablets. I have an 8 inch version haven't had any serious issues with it. Onn is a fine budget tablet. The Fire HD just has better specs from what ETA Prime has explained.

I have spare devices, and they can lag and buffer once in a while, due to the wifi router network. My mobile hotspot has 35g, of high speed than it goes (without say), to a lower speed, until next monthly period. Tip is to use the silk browser or devices internet browser. Make sure Internet is reliable. I'm impressed wit the Bluetooth controllers you put into your thumbnails. Thanks for reviews.
