I've done versions of this where I grab an Academy instead of a Factory and research Marine Range so they can actually fight the Dragoons from the Bunker. It ALWAYS catches the Protoss player off guard! This kind of opening is really strong against Nexus First and really weak against any sort of 1 Base tech rush like a DT/Reaver Drop.

This guy is amazing. I am following his KZbin channel (without understanding single word) but he is amazing. He won against another BW player with SCVs only. He made many CC and won with SCVs :))). Also I saw Larva with him when he was saying “Te”, “Te”, “Te” while attacking with drone. Actually “Te” represents single drone attack😅. Great player and making a lot of fun. I would like to see Artosis using this build.

@@Dziaji Yeah but if P starts with two zealots mostly scouting blind (because first couple marines easily push away a probe) they have to cut probes or significantly delay other tech. And when T tries to rush they can just retreat (since they can't take down two zealots with 3 marines and an SCV lol) and get their own expo up a bit quicker.

@@sulik682 yeah, but like Artosis says. A strat like this is just a coin flip. Pros know they aren't going to win ASL by flipping a bunch of coins. Sure you can win a percentage of games with a strat like this, but eventually, people see you doing it and learn how to sniff it out and distinguish it from your other main builds.It's a gimmick like a 4 pool vs terran.

@@yangpaan453 Yes, but that number of animations wouldn't happen in normal 1v1, especially talking about 3 valks or whatever. I used them all the time, and the only time they wouldn't fire is ridiculous scenarios that you get in bgh. A major reason they actually weren't used is because they freeze when firing, so scourge would just instantly take them out. The patrol micro is what made them be used because you can fire and then retreat back to the turrets and marines.

@@Dziaji Patrol micro existed back then too. Obviously something changed with the animation to make them viable now. There is no way they were just overlooked for over a decade. Every unit has been theory crafted and tested into the ground by now. Starcraft was the first massive $ E-sport in the world. Not knowing how a unit works is the same as self-corporate sabotage.

Well, it works as a surprise, and if they skipped zealot(or zealot was out of position). Even if P skips zealot, 3 marines vs 1 goon already can go either way. But P only needs to bring a few probes to counter this. However, it is a nice low investment pressure and T doesn't lose all that much if this fails.

The solution to this is fairly obvious: you build a proxy gate the moment that the bunker goes up. Then you destroy the bunker from two sides, or instead you can first harass the terran expansion. Whichever one works best.

I guess you just make 2 gateways before, Cyber, Assimilator, or Nexus so you'll have zealots. I'd maybe put a Battery down after my 2 Gates so my Zealots can REALLY fight marines and scvs. Also, you obviously never cut probe production so you're more than ready when you can make your 2nd Nexus.

That's only because the protoss opponenets play standard. Once they know they are about to be hit with this build, they will just make a zealot. Also, you don't kill the marines, you kill the SCVs.

You can't know about the build until its in your face, you have to open Zealot without knowing. and you cant focus the SCV with only 1 goon, it takes too many shots to kill. Specially if there are 3 marines hitting the dragoon.

Okay so, I need some help understanding. The whole "idea" of the video is that this new early bunker play is supposed to be "new" or "reimagined?" Because, like, I was interested and starting watching cause I love Tastyboi, and I just see a bunker rush? What I mean is that, what's different or makes this fresh? The quick tank? Cause it took me 30 seconds to throw up one of my favorite casted PvT sets from like 2 years ago where I see this bunker rush, dam near exact style and timing, like 3 out of the 6 games they played. I very very much must insist that I am not being an ass or throwing out intentional keyboard criticism, I just am legit curious what makes this "new?" Cause I love new playstyles and how this competitive game has still yet continued to change 45 years after launch. And cause to me it just looks like a fast-bunker play style I've seen and loved for years.
