This was one of the best episodes of Progression Playoffs. Not because of the decks (they were brutal), or the gameplay (most of the games took forever), or the commentary (there were 4 broken men and a surprisingly optimistic woman in this episode), but because we really see the human condition on full display. We don't start with broken people, we see them break. It's really an interesting psychological case study.

@@end_phase2749 the strongest route was just get out 4 level 4. you make dark rebellion which goes down to 1900 because of wonder balloons. you activate its affect to bring it up to 2650 and nefarious goes to 750. you then make burner visor and equip it to dark rebellion. the max damage you can do with this is still only 3150 though, so not enough for lethal, since burner visors burn damage is only 500

Hey so I have no idea if it mattered in this episode because I still have six hours left, but the 500 attack boost from UA Stadium affects ALL monsters you control, and not just UA monsters. Edit: I’m pretty sure one or both of those games would have ended much sooner if we knew this

Cheermole is a house of attack modification, a permanent 1000 ATK up or down every turn is wild, and other perfomapal cards can make that attack go even further beyond. In a slow game it can get terrifying

The one thing he didn't mention in that other video was Progression, probably because its actually fun for him to keep going on it. Advanced has so many issues right now (cost being probably the biggest) and the alt formats just get no support from Konami and therefore not enough views to justify making vids about them. Prog on the other hand, is just fun.

These were some of the slowest UA decks Ive seen. I dont think UA contributed to the slowness at all, I might be biased because its one of my favorite decks. Its mostly baloons that slowed the game due to calculations and Blue Baller due to stall.

Secrets of Eternity was released in January 2015.
