The new UI is waaaaaaaay better! I love just quickly toggling between workflows. Looks cleaner!

For those of us with OCD, they need a snap feature where the nodes snap to the grid and are easily aligned. I use this in Blender all the time. I know by selecting a few nodes, then right-clicking, you can choose align, but a snap is much easier.
@sebastiankamph3 күн бұрын
100% agreed! I'm always trying to line them up and it's never working (and yes, the align is too cumbersome)
@devnull_3 күн бұрын
Well you can select one or more nodes, then shift + drag those nodes, and the nodes will snap to grid. It isn't very intuitive, neither it is very efficient way to snap items, but it works.
@temafast3 күн бұрын
pythongosssss custom scripts allow you to change snap-to-grid grid size and turn on always snap! With this enabled you can select all nodes and just click once - everything will be grid-aligned. Same with groups

I still use the old UI since I got an addon that shows me the GPU load and stats right above the menu. Since I have ComfyUI usually on different computers, using it in browser is actually fine too for me. Still nice to see that the development continues, it's such a useful tool. Also nice new quality of life features indeed.

My issue with comfy is how bad outpainting and inpaint is at the moment.
@aitechwitht3 күн бұрын
True, it's also super slow. I just do outpainting and inpainting with flux using Forge, much easier and faster.

Comfyui, Blender, Houdini and every software out there that use nodes should do something to make it easier to fix the cable mess everyone does when using their tool. The easiest way for us the users would be a single click button that will reorder everything automatically. Yeah, sure! 😅 The other way could be by implementing one of those controls to move up and down a certain item of a list, (like those to reorder songs in a spotify playlist), in every option of every node of comfyui. That would allow the user to reorder at will every time two cables cross each other, making it easier to keep the graph tidy.

They could just make an online preset manager so everyone could upload anything they want to share. Add description and rating to each preset and you have a great list of presets for all possible applications.

What kind of hardware is necessary? I have a M1 Macbook pro. For a clean install what are we talking about. How much Vram, Ram, what kind of chip, I am porting over from a windows based NVidia RTX4500 (a loaner soon to be long gone)and I can't find anything about that.

With the old version of the menu you could look at queued jobs and select any of them to jump to from the list. How do you do that with the new menu? I see the queue list but I can't select jobs in the list like I can with the old menu. If I have 3 or 4 jobs queued I usually want to jump back to one of the previous ones to use it's text as a base for another generation.

Nah, it's the exact same as before. OBVIOUSLY, you will still have no clue what Nodes you have from where, for what, which alternatives are out there, if you need to use them in combination with X Nodes to function in the first place... all the wonderful un"Comfy" Stuff you are used to. The only real good thing is that you can choose Node Versions to install, but even there I am not sure if the Integration will be good enough to support multiple Workflows which each use different Versions of the same Node. Or if it installs the in the imported Workflow used Node with the correct Version in the first place... I hate ComfyUI and not once in the last two years did it work correctly... for anything complex that is... wait a sec... it worked once for Vid2Vid but broke just 2 or 3 Days later with an Update... 3 Days out of 700+ Days... xD
