Excellent stuff , I can see a lot of people do more silage work with this. It would be nice if it detects the volume in the bunker so it doesn’t go all the way out when there isn’t much in the bunker. Or a manual setting to adjust how far it goes out. But still will save a ton of time. Thanks for sharing FSG , also wasn’t aware the modhub version is a few versions behind.

You just need patience to set up autodrive and CP, I have just run a 2 forager 14 trailer 21 million litre maize harvest into 7 silos and all I did was sit on the dozer and level the silos. It took about 30 hours real-time on a 16x map, with a 12 min round trip. CP and AD are amazing

Good demo on how the silage leveling and compacting works in Courseplay. The only thing I have found wrong in courseplay is a lot depends on the implement or trailer you have on, eg sometimes the unload combine option is not available in the options, especially if you try to directly unload with a truck and also some trailers on a tractor, its just a trial and error situation. Having said that Courseplay combined with Autodrive is a fantastic mod combination that lets you do things automatically and leaves you free to do other things. Wouldn't be without them.

Your suppose to learn 1 new thing a day. Today I learned 2 things. I did not know the forage harvester would unload like that and the new bunker addition to CP. I usually just use a pick up wagon and take it to some sort of fermenting silo. Now to try this way.

In the FS19 version i used the Fendt 938MT with the smaller Holaras blade and a width setting of 5,2m. This width prevented hitting the corners. The Fendt 938MT has a short nose so it won't hit the ground.

I noticed Courseplay has a bale collector mode now too. No course needed. It just does it. It works very well. I Tested with a John deere 9rx and giants autostack trailer from mod hub.

I’ve been using it for awhile now. Only big issues I’ve run into is articulated and tracked vehicles have a really hard time with it. But that’s nothing new with courseplay. Brilliant update for sure!

True. it seems Courseplay struggles with anything articulated no matter what the task - especially backing on fields. But, as you stated - it IS indeed an absolute brilliant tool. Some folks out there complain like it's a paid DLC or something, but hey, it's a mod and it is free and I am ever so very thankful to the genius guys behind Courseplay for this wonderful tool. :)

Do you find the offloading trailor gets stuck on the mound once its half full, i wonder if setting the trigger point closer to the entrance of the silage pit and then let the bot push it to the back would be better?

Yes that definitely can work, but the trailer (depending on the trailer too I should add) should detect how far to reverse back and stop as the bunker gets more and more full

I've not tried doing a backup (reverse course) for quite awhile, but when I used to to use reverse in AD, it would never work. When the vehicle ran the course, it would never pull all the way forward to the furest waypoint, instead it would always prematurely start backing up too early, and either jackknife or run the trailer/implement into something on the right or left. I watched a bunch of tutorials to make sure I was doing it correctly, but the same issue with reversing in AD popped up every time.

I have the same issue, tip is run a long way further than you think you need to, it always seems to trigger the reverse sooner than the course is set to

@@TheFarmSimGuy Just manually move the AD point further up with your mouse. Sometimes for whatever reason AD will use a different point ive noticed too. So I always move the 1st and 2cd points further up..Hope this helps.

Does this only work if you set it with an empty bunker, as my bunker I've already filled and put off compacting as its 1mill litres but cause play says target is unreachable. the tractor is sat in front of the bunker and there's nothing in the way just a bunker full of silage.

Great tutorial, only issue I'm having is the tractor wont unload next to the harvester it just wants to drive behind it and then the harvester wont unload. Do you have any advice on how to fix this ?

All the time or just on the headlands, I sometimes have that issue, having it run behind is ok but I always get the longest pipe I can on the storage harvester, because the throw can sometimes be too far and it won’t detect the trailer. @@TheFarmSimGuy It happens all the time. I'm using all claas equipment, I've tried different harvesters as well as different tractors and trailers but it doesn't seam to be making a difference. I wouldn't mind if it trailed behind the only thing is it constantly runs into the back of the harvester forcing them both to stop, I've adjusted the distance settings but that doesn't work either so I'm a little stumped.

I seem to find your videos a year or ao after they were published 😂. I cannot get my auto drive to dump in the bunker, the AI backs up and then stops right at the opening even though the waypoint is in the back and then attaches itself to another part of the course and starts to try to drive in a circle at the opening of the bunker.

Try a different tractor and trailer, I had issues with some mods not playing nice, also when you set your course up do it without the trailer attached, the triggers detect slightly differently when setting up to when the course is running 👍

I do wish the old way was still a thing, as an option. It won't detect the bunker on Calmsden, not even give the option to select a silo. At least in the past I could've manually set a course to make it work regardless. I guess there's a certain line Courseplay looks for that Oxy doesn't put on his bunker silos.

Would this work, if you were manually doing the carting and just wanted to skip out in the leveling, or wanted the leveling done while you’re out working the field? Or does the leveling tractor rely on the autodrive course from the carting tractor to determine when to get out of the way?

OK sounds like either courseplay is picking up the gate (which might have a large hitbox, which you can check by pressing F5) OR the detection on the tractor/Couseplay is looking too wide or far ahead and picking up the gate as a blocker. My first suggestion would be to try a different tractor and see if that has the same issue. It's also possible there is an invisible element on the map causing an issue, again this should show up as a wireframe if you hit F5 if there is anything there (To turn off the wireframes, just keep hitting F5 til they go away, usually 3 or 4 times)

Yup. I used 3 or 4 82studios dump trucks to cart from field to bunker. They’re not articulated so backing up is quicker and they’re way faster on the road. You do have to make sure you don’t have too many carts though, since they share the wait point in the field and the ones waiting will block the full ones from leaving. With the bunker levelling, too many carts will not leave enough time to do the levelling. Once you work out the optimum number, it’s awesome!

Brilliant maybe but Courseplay will only do bunker silo route if I'm trying to use an articulated tractor. No matter what implement the tractor is attached to, Planter, Harrows, Cultivators or Grain Cart, the ONLY route that will show is bunker silo. We use articulated tractor for field work most of the time so this drives me nuts.

You need to make sure you’ve grabbed the latest release (on the right side of the page) and drop the zip into your mod folder, it’ll keep all your courses they are held in the save game file 👍

Alright. I'm not going insane, I hope? Just to check why it doesn't work here on Carpathian, I'm now on Attingham, in the same tractor, using the same implement, using the latest version of courseplay trying to work the same bunker just to find out why it won't work elsewhere. If it works for you, it should work for me, right? Won't recognise it has to do bunker work, only gives the option "go to". The only machine that wants to recognise bunker silo work is the Leitwolf Agripower and the only thing that piece of kit does is back away from the silo and park position to the nearest hard object, even if it's 50m away, and then tell me "blocked by an object". My computer may be haunted. Anyways, for all of us out there that sit here watching it all work for someone else; You're not alone. Don't get a shrink.

Sometimes it’s the bunker itself rather than the machinery, I’ve found some work better than others. Also even though sometimes it auto detects the bunker it’s worth selecting it manually

This is soooo awsome compared to FS19 where you had to make a custom route for silo compacting with park points etc. This is just point and click realy intergrating greatly with the in-game AI improvements. Realy hoping FS24/25 gets alot better livestock with breeding/young stocks and true milk/meat breeds for cows. and possibly intergrated maizeplus as option "realistic food consumption" or something and then the game is realy getting somewhere. Its amazing to see how far it has come from Fs9

I don't really care for this addition to course play. I like to drive the silage pig myself and auto drive and course play the harvesters and trailers. there is an art to filling the biggest C shaped bunkers. and you can easily play traffic warden from the silage pig. when course play and autodrive go wrong. or to manually tip. but I can see how this can move onto the next step. course play front loaders emptying bunkers. only a few logic steps away that would be amazingly useful because I have already filled far more bunkers than i am ever going to empty, in this game. its emptying bunkers that needs course play the most and this looks like a good foundation. Fingers crossed.

What happened to Courseplay? I haven't played FS22 in a long time but man, we used to need only courseplay for silaging or whatever we needed. How come there is like zero things left in Courseplay? Can't make courses to unload, drive, or whatever like FS 17, 15, 13? Where's all the options we used to have? Courseplay is a mere joke now compared to what it used to do in previous FS games. Why do we need Autodrive? Which is dumb and I don't like it is so terrible to use and vague in what it does. May as well do it myself anyway. Spend all my time babysitting them. Sure the new silo mode is Ok but all my guys do is sit there and spin tires. If they would actually do a good job........ So poor. Push all the silage out the far end and just make a bumpy bunk. Sorry for the rant but I think Courseplay went way downhill from what it was. Yes it had issues but you could do just about anything with it. Now well not that much. But on a side note love the Vids and thanks for spending the time to make em for us!!

Hey man, Courseplay was completely redesigned from the ground up for FS22, the old code had become bloated and was extremely processor intensive, they are continually adding back features from previous versions and with improvements to the old way of doing it (bunker silo mode being a great example) it’ll get there but I’m glad they’ve released it now rather than building out the entire thing before releasing it or we’d be a year into the game with no courseplay at all

@TheFarmSimGuy True enough. Well I didn't know that. Sorry for the rant. Is there a way to use just courseplay or do I need autodrive as well for stuff. I'm a use it and try myself but man I been struggling for 2 weeks and finally went to a tut vid after I broke my rule of no vids till after I get it figured out.

I think if you get the latest version from their GitHub page a lot of stuff has been added back, I don’t know about road courses because I use Autodrive for those github.com/Courseplay/Courseplay_FS22
