The New Covid Surge in China... Implications and Worries

Why is suddenly there is a high case rate of Covid deaths in China?
We all know about China’s “zero covid” policy which was recently scrapped but it may be due to the absence of a strategy that now threatens a fresh wave of covid infections especially in a population where there are still millions of elderly that are still unvaccinated.
What I worry the most is that like the outbreak three years ago, It all began in China before the pandemic began.
We now hear of reports of A wave of omicron infections sweeping Beijing and might soon hit the rest of China.
What then does this mean to all of us?

Everybody is focusing only on China, but US also have a new variant but it doesn't get the same attention.

The covid situation in US is different from China , in China its govt is trying to hide their cases, hospitalization and death, unlike in the US they reported everyday and media has access to it.

Hello Doc! We rcvd the two primary doses Sinovac and 1 booster shot of Pfizer. Is it ok if we just wait for the bivalent? Thank you.

no news yet of the bivalent but if you can get it soon best to get the bivalent as booster
