Very true. Theres more to it than just the WBD merger and david zaslav and the people that work with him but CN in recent years hasnt been open to fresh ideas and theyve given up their regular time slot to adult swim. So not alot of new shows are able to air in the evening anymore. Also from what ive heard from people is Cartoon network doesnt always market their new shows so its hard for anyone to knew whats knew if theyre not hyping their shows up.

It won’t change anything. It won’t bring back any of the shows or movies that got canceled or written as tax write-offs. It won’t make WBD any better. And there’s a strong chance that there won’t be a CEO who will fix WBD and bring back everything. If anything, I except WBD to get worse from here on out and beyond with no signs of getting better any time soon and with a strong chance of going bankrupt (and so should you). All hope is lost. In the end, Zaslav still wins. He’s literally the Hitler of the entertainment industry 😞

This is why I switched to Adult Swim around mid-2023. WBD doesn't screw them over half as hard as they do to CN. For one thing, AS actually DOES respect animation and will let the creators cook for as long as they need, and even when one of their shows gets yanked from Max, it'll be put up on their website for free with no cable signup. Adult Swim is basically the only major remaining bit of CN that's left at this point, so we better cherish it before Zaslav possibly gets an idea to head for them next after there's nothing left from CN to shoot down anymore.

Adult Swim is Cartoon Network. AS is only treated as a separate entity for advertising purposes. Warner Brothers is hesitant to run anything new under the CN label because they don't think that kids are watching TV anymore. Hence why every original idea now gets pushed to AS, but AS is seen as a niche adults only brands and thus puts a limit on what can be shown there.

So I guess Cartoon Network don't feel confident about doing original shows? Seems like they are running out of ideas that they are desperate so they revived older shows like Adventure Time, Regular Show and Gumball. At least those big 3 are exciting. Cartoon Network prime run ended after Adventure Time ended. Their last great show was We Bare Bears. All they focus on at this point is Teen Titans Go which is a horrible reboot. At this point Adventure Time is carrying Cartoon Network with Distant Lands and Fionna and Cake.

This comment is long so please here me out. This era for kids media has been a fucking mess and the kids networks in general have been going on a slow downward spiral. Like how they’ve cancelled everything except the nostalgic stuff. Craig of the Creek was already on their own way out but it wasn’t enough and made them shorten the final season. The only explanation that makes sense to me about why Disney Channel, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network massacred most of their shows is because kids don’t watch cable anymore. And they believe that the only people left still watching them are millennials who grew out of the demographic who still talk about them. All three networks got rid of all the shows that those millennials wouldn’t care about (but I’m an adult millennial and I loved some of those shows) and brought back shows they loved when they were kids. It’s why Bunk’d and Raven’s Home were the only live action shows that Disney Channel let end on their own terms and the only two “new” live action shows are also sequels: Wizards Beyond Waverly Place and Alice In The Palace. It’s why Adult Swim took up more and more of Cartoon Network’s schedule time and opens every “night” with Checkered Past, a block of reruns of Cartoon Network classics. Sure, there are a couple actual original shows from all networks combined that are in production, but who’s to say that even they don’t also get shunted to make room for sequel shows? I’m just saying, good luck Rock, Paper, Scissors fans. Cuz it’s the only wholly original non franchise show that Nickelodeon has now that people seem to like. Yeah, screw you, Tyler Perry.

If you want all of this to happen, stop requesting it on social. Call Warner Brothers, call cartoon network or email them not their social. That does nothing. You have to contact THEM directly and not the 20 year old they're underpaying to read all of your comments so THEY don't have to, but if you call or email them directly then they will be forced to listen.
