Just got back from a 4500km drive round Europe (Belgium, France, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, France, Luxembourg, Belgium) and the car has been superb. Driving through the Alps in this car is so easy (110 P400e), I just wish there had been some snow on the ground to try out the snow mode. Have already taken it on the forest roads in the Ardennes, and that was also a great experience. Cannot wait for the next trip

I bought a second hand Defender 110 P400 SE to replace my Wrangler and it’s been a huge step up and really fantastic to drive. Very solid and reliable, but I also opt’d for 5 year 100,000 mile warranty, just in case.

Done 10k in my 23 HSE X Dynamic with the full explorer pack in carpathian grey. We have the 22 inch wheels but it still has fantastic comfort. Love the clear view camera and the heads up display and the driving position. Few gripes are the reflection of the dashboard in the wing mirror at night, having to press a button before adjusting the fan blower and don’t find the seats really supportive on a long run. That said, it’s a fantastic car mated with a strong 300hp Diesel. Not sure about first oil change at 21k or 2 years though on a diesel. Seems a bit too long.

Only had my 110 D300 for a month, it's a year old ex dealer demo, and driven it 5 days to South of Greece towing a 2.5 tonne dual axle trailer. Very impressive, pretty reasonable economy considering, just had a overheating problem with 3 miles to go. It got us there but then got towed 3 hours north to Athens. Hose has gone on the EGR unit and losing lots of coolant. LR have been helpful but 2 weeks to get a replacement part down here. Hopefully hasn't soured the love affair - will see when I get it back in 10 days.

@@CoffeeandCars. Only had it back a few days and all good. An excuse for a weekend in Athens to pick it up. What was good was that for the recovery of the car and fixing it I had nothing to pay. No pay here and claim it when back in the UK so that was pretty good. It was just a radiator hose but in an awkward place to get at. I asked the service manager what was the specific fault with the hose and his reply was "it's a Defender!"

Just got mine, really happy with it! Few things that maybe you can shed some light on. Accelerating at high speed 80+ getting a slight vibration? Same wheels and tires as you. Slow speed slightly more of a choppy ride than expected, could this be tyre pressures?Finally a rushing air sound when the car is cold and fan speed low heat on high sounds coming from the back? Great video and think your spec is spot on👍
@CoffeeandCars.Ай бұрын
Hey buddy, thanks for watching! Yeah I get a similar thing at low speeds, I think that’s just the nature of the tyre set up compared to a more conventional setup. I’m not sure on the noise from the back on low fan speed, il keep an ear out for it over the next few days 👌🏻💯

It’s just two presses for DAS to your required custom setting, which you only have to set up once by a long press on the DAS button. My D300 is coming up to 2 years old now and has been faultless. I have a hankering for a D350…….
@CoffeeandCars.Ай бұрын
Glad to hear you are enjoying it buddy! Yeah I suppose that’s one way of doing it, do you feel like you miss out on power with the D300? I would only change if you do a lot of towing or if you fancy a spec change as I recon there wouldn’t be a huge difference between the two👍🏻
@markbromhallАй бұрын
@ I work as an PT off-road instructor for LR so I get to drive the latest models regularly and the D350 does have noticeable more urgency than the D300 in the midrange. One of the downsides to my job is spec envy, do I need it? no, do I desire it? probably. First world problems I guess……👊🏻 Keep the reviews coming, if you need any advice on the vehicles just ask, if I don’t know I can find out the correct answers, I work with some talented people with some great history in the industry.

Have a LR Defender 110 V8 Carpathian Edition. Bought it new last year in Feb (MY 23.5). Trying to resell for over 4 months now - the depreciation is crazy (35% down in less than two years...). Otherwise a great car to drive on and off-road, had no problems what's so ever - just the airbag indicator was going on for some time which was fixed in LR service under warranty. And the fuel consumption averaging at over 20l/100km - 30k km 😅

P400e 10000 miles and can’t fault the drivability and presence on the road. I only have one plea to JLR please improve the reversing light capability. In the dark and wet (when you really need it) the positioning of the lights v. Reversing camera location is next to useless. On a car this well designed this is a major flaw and when I’ve already spent £75k why do I have to look at c. £400 for the after market solution (that would likely void some part of the warranty).
