TBH, I watched Murder Drones for the everything. Gore, character drama, traumatic experiences, the art style, the environments, the lore, the extensive headcannon based on increasingly speculative inferences I've made that I could probably make an RPG lore book out of and _am_ making a fan novel and short stories from... You're not wrong about anything said, but this show was like made for my marginally unwell hyperfixation to go rampant with, and until I run out of anxious energy to fuel the fire or actually see this all through, it's not going anywhere. lol

one of the best marketing strategies they use that seperates them from industry studios, is allowing their animators to post behind the scenes content. It catches the attention of all the curious fans who are interested in animation themselves to see the process behind it all. It makes us much more consciously aware of the effort put into each and every episode. Meanwhile industry studios would never let their artists reveal behind the scenes content, so that makes it all too easy for audiences to passively watch these shows and movies while being completely blind to all the work put into it. They stand up and leave the theatre as soon as the credits roll, and all those names mean nothing to them. Meanwhile with glitch, they let their animators post behind the scenes content, meaning they catch the interest of other people interested in animation, and also build up the names of their animators. I mean, every glitch fan knows of kevin temmer at this point, and its pretty much thanks to all the behind the scenes/bloopers videos that he posts! It also helps that they bring on creators and let them tell the stories they want to tell. A lot of the people they're bringing on, like liam and goose, they're people who grew up watching cartoons, they're people who enjoy animation and ultimately they're fans just like us, meaning they know exactly what us fans want from their shows. Goose literally made jax to be exactly who goose loves in a character, and that is one reason why he's so iconic. This is wildly different from the high end white men billionaires listening to hundreds of pitches for stories that they aren't even the target audience for. They don't know what fans want. The people at glitch do, because they are fans themselves. They know exactly how to tug at our heartstrings, they know exactly what we want to see in the way of the shows, the merch, and all the extra content they post. *that* is what makes them successful, I think.

GLITCH is truly the best at what they do since I first watched TADC 🔥⭐ When I first watched MurderDrones, I seriously fell in love with the series, characters, plot, gore, tramua, love, healing, and friendship it has. I only wish I heard of Glitch when it first came out. I sadly missed out so much which is the worse thing to experiance. What the indie artist do of not revealing what they are doing to the fans is a good strategy, why spoil yourself when you want to see it for yourself when the episode releases to what it going to be like. We have to let our imagination run to enjoy the happiness. Love the video Sirmi ^^

Samesies here!!1 I found glitch shortly after episode 6, but I saw the video of PILOT on my recommended and never clicked it. It still haunts me until this day. I stuck with murder drones (and still is) because,, well I don’t know why I’m sticking to it. Yeah, TADC is pretty cool I guess, but it’s something with MD that really made me fell in love with it. I don’t know why, maybe because of the robots? The heartfelt scenes every now and then? The horror? I don’t know. I think it’s just how different MD is, and its uniqueness, and probably its story.

Glad that Glitch Productions and the other indie animation studios is saving the animation industry, independently! Not only Glitch Productions is teaming up with Hot Topic for some merchandise of Murder Drones or The Amazing Digital Circus, but also Glitch Productions is teaming up with PlushShop to produce plushy cat version of N or any other Murder Drones/The Amazing Digital Circus characters! I hope Glitch Productions (and the other indie animation studios) continues to team up with other retail stores (such as PlayAsia, Book-Off, Press Play, etc.) to produce more indie animated series in different retail stores in the future. The more we support Glitch Productions and the other indie animation studios, the stronger and better indie animation will be so much that indie animation will destroy Hollywood and the other western corporations/studios to death!

6:04 Just to clarify, making an episdoe at GLITCH is much MUCH more expensive than that. I read somewhere that the Finale of Murder Drones alone costed about 300 000K dollars. Animation is expensive, even for indies !!

That little rambling about the trauma and neurodivergence resonated. In hindsight it is kind of funny how I got diagnosed with autism not too long after MD ended (I think) I really hope KOG and Gaslight District succeed, even if they likely won’t reach TADC’s numbers.

If you think that's something, look at The Art of Murder pilot, it just got an exhibit and merchandising as I thought that their expansion could start when they got more episodes, but I guess not. And I think there trying to be like TADC.

back when GLITCH was producing the first few episodes of murder drones, they said each episode took like 200k-400k USD. So you can imagine how much that number has gone up with where the production quality they’re at now.
