The *NEW* Fastest Levelling Guide in New World

In this video I teach you how to level fast in New World. This is a beginners guide for levelling or an experts guide for anyone who wants to know how to make the fastest amount of XP gains in the shortest amount of time. There are plenty of tips and tricks and also big picture strategies. We piece it all together by learning from Larsen and OneTimeaCraft on KZbin and trying it all out in-game ourselves.

Yeah a lot of the server populations are dying and the guilds in control are finding the town board missions to expensive to activate because they aren't getting enough taxes to pay for it. Find a good route though and you'll fly through. I'm level 60 now and I'm focusing heavily on Everfall town boards in order to raise my territory standing now. Once you hit 45 if town boards aren't working go to the part of my video that shows you how to get 60,000 xp per hour without town boards. That's also a good tactic :)

You know the boredom isn't really existent. You have to memorize everything you need, where it's out along your route to grab it. What you should take, shouldn't take. Organizing town board setup for max efficiency is more challenging that farming for watermark. Beyond that light encumberance, Berserk speed, then bow because every time you dodge you get 10% haste. It took me about 4 days from 38 once I figured out the secret sauce I just mentioned above.

Swap the hatchet with bow and get the perk that gives 10% speed for roll and the perk for 10% for swapping to bow. If you have ever hatchet berserk u cancel your speed bonus by swapping away from hatchet, so u can't dodge roll sheathe. And u want to dodge roll sheathe as often as possible as this faster than simply running with 20% speed. With bow with the 2 perks u can run with constant 10% speed bonus and dodge roll as often as possible. There are no animations that slow you down when you do this. Also whenever the 2nd perk is not on cool down, simply sheathe unsheathe will grant 5 s with 10% added speed with no animation. The gaxe should on my be utilised to cross rivers.

@@teamvashnewworld7508 I tried the bow buff and found it awkward, there is a cooldown on the 10% speed Archers Speed talent , and while its active if you roll you loose that 10 percent haste buff from swapping to bow, only keeping the 10 percent dodge and weave talent buff. i prefer the muskets 10% haste for 3 seconds after dodge, compared to bows 10% 2 second after dodge. just my preference. Also prefer guns range for killing turkeys/dows/elks/rabbits over the bows range

If everyone didn't need me to be Healer all the time I would 100% be running with Rapier and Musket. That was my starting build and it was the most fun build ever. Popping deer with a flaming headshot for 1-2 shot kills was the best thing ever

@@relaxandpanic8988 I actually didnt know that the bow dodgeroll was only 2 sec . I was so sure it was 3, but I just checked and you are right. My 5 sec of 10% after swapping to bow does not go away however. I dont know why that happens for you and not for me. I feel pretty confident that the bow will give you more average speed than the musket because of the 5 additional sec of 10%. Plus if you always dodgeroll everytime stam is above 50, then the 2 sec haste should be active almost always. Im not gonna blatantly that this is the case tho as I havent dont any proper testing. I dont think the difference is massive either way, so if musket is the preference I would go with that too.

You do the full rotation picking up town board quests as you go. When you do then next lap around you turn in the ones you finished and get new ones :)

Was getting around 200,000xp a day from townboard missions back when my faction owned 7 territories, now we only own 4 and they're far from each other so my daily xp rate dropped significantly.

Correct. Always skip those if your goal is speed. If your goal is raising your territory level then its actually pretty useful to do those grouped in a small area :)

Not bad. Definitely some solid points that regular players can take. However, I don't recommend this for regular players starting out. If you intend to stick around, I implore you: save you high teir mats. Don't use them on bounty boards. The amount you can sell or buy the materials for the late game bounties for are over 7x what the reward will give. Don't focus on XP; cash is king. If you want something to get good at, work on armouring. If you just grind that to 200, you'll have the most valuable skill in the game (tuning orbs for expeditions will be top tier till the summer 2022 update that removes them) as it will allow you to boost your expertise score to near or at max to put you in end game content. And selling teir 2+ finished materials (wyrdwood planks, infused leather, rugged leather, linen, etc.) Will net you huge profit on most, if not all, servers. Also, furniture crafting after 53 is a cheese. That stone structure takes 1 stone, 1 steel bar and 2 earth motes and refunds you all the stone on salvage. For 93xp/ea. It sounds small, but considering all the other stuff uses all your linen/fibers or lumber for like 200xp, its s game changer.

No, you grab as many as you think you can turn in by the time you come back. The ones that aren't useful, you can get rid of them when you go back and it'll give you new ones. Town boards reset every 30 mins

Yeah this method is still awesome. The only issue with town boards is a lack of active missions on dying servers. On high pop servers it works amazingly. The other section of the video that shows how to use mob grinding locations still works 100% regardless of server population

The town boards are having less and less on them as things settle and owners of towns just stop posting projects. Invasions and Wars do refresh some of them but they get completed within an hour of posting in most cases.

Good guide but there is absolutely no point in rushing the buggy end game now, the game looks more like a beta and with every patch they end up fixing one thing and breaking something else. If this was a different game i would probably want to just get to the end game too, but i feel like in this particular case i would end up quitting really fast since nothing works properly.

Im still confused on the loop. Do you collect board quests in WW then go out and do them then return to complete, or collect board quests, then port to each settlement and collect others, then do board quests then port around turning in? Guessing you gather mats as you do the quests etc. Sorry for dumb question if it was apparent.

Not a dumb question at all. So he does all his crafting in Windsward and keeps his storage there too. So after he's done Windsward, he might travel on foot to Everfall and do some quests along the way (if he needs Azoth), and as he's out he always collects the materials I mentioned for the town board missions (farm stuff, iron, hemp, herbs) + hunting wolves/rabbits/turkeys if he has those collected. Then he goes to Everfall either by dying or running there, collects the missions, teleports/runs to Brightwood collects the missions, goes to Monarchs, gets the missions then heads back to Windsward and crafts everything there. Then he does the loop again by collecting/turning in the missions.

Got to 60 in a normal time frame took me about 2 weeks after release. But it doesnt matter how fast you level, there is nothing to do no matter how slow u take the leveling... Sadly leveling is pretty much all the game has to offer. After 350hours I uninstalled the game. 70% of the playerbase already did the same... GG

@@chiddiru6114 it depends on what you are looking for in the game. It is undeniable that there's only a handful of enemy types in PvE. Except for crafting, which is cool and PvP, if you are in that type of thing, there isn't much else to do. Compare New World with well established MMOs like Black Desert where you can choose to do a dozen different things at any time.

Stop trying to cater to a reddit narrative. An individuals goals in a game doesn't justify if there's content or not as a broad view. My personal goals in WoW, Cutting Edge for current raid tier, once my characters done that, there's no content. I can't then sprout the narrative WoW has no content. Thing is on most servers town boards are empty with only one or two order sections up. What I did is only Everfall and Windswards because they are usually maintained regulary and have all 4 sections up. On my way I would collect iron, hides, fiber and cut some trees. high lvl ores and wrdwood are cheap so no need to farm it really although there are few starmetals i run in to on my way.

Yes, our server is the same now! Windsward and Everfall and Brightwood are full for us mostly. When we were making this guide, all the town boards were full, it's crazy how quickly things are changing in New World.

At start I didn't have this problem but now sometimes ik standing in front like 2-5 minutes waiting on town board to show up (some npcs also need to be waited). Tried to google exactly what is producing this problem but all I found is more people with same problem. Some claiming they have very good pc configuration and fast internet. Really would be nice to look in to this and see if we can somehow speed up that waiting time.

Larson made a mistake increasing all XP, he should have invested all Points into Gathering, and Storage. XP has a finite cap and your t points cannot be changed. the little bit of increase for XP isnt worth the loss of vital storage. Overall this is an Excellent guide, I would sacrifice a day of time to ensure i have the maximum possible storage.

I think he specifically chose XP to be the world's first as he's a speedrunner from day 1, which isn't really relevant to all of us now. And you're right in choosing Storage!

The armaments is a combination of iron, raw hide, green wood and fibers (hemp) depending on the aramament. And the higher tier ones you have to upgrade those raw resources to higher levels.

Sorry but this is not possible to do the full loop in 30 minutes. Even if you just run the full loop through each town without stopping it takes more than 30 mins. It can take 30 mins to kill and skin 10 turkeys let alone mine, kill, collect, skin, hunt refine and handing missions in. Don’t get me wrong it is a really good way to level up and I got many levels from town board missions but it’s not as efficient as doing main and side quests. How I levelled so fast was doing main and side missions and gathering and killing everything on the way. Then for me I was at 175 skinning when I found out about boars den which got me 200 skinning in 10 mins. I have so many mats that I have 5 sheds full even with houses with chests. So I go on my own missions refining and crafting everything I can. Then continue missions. At level 50 it slowed down as mobs get a lot harder so I went back and completed every mission possible from first light to bright wood. In mean time I ran ameine, starstone and depths as often as possible. A hero’s duty got me stuck for a few days as that mission is rediculously hard unless your a good tank. Now I’m level 55 and just taking it easy doing more main and side missions and gathering and now I get one level per 6 hours. I’m utaliasing almost every aspect of the game that I can for my level. Good video but needs to show proof of this all happening. You can’t remember what you have to do for 20-30 missions so constantly looking at journal and pinning few at a time. Even more to this I have starmetal tools with Aziz perk on each and pretty good gear score and still can’t do it that quick. To be honest in my opinion to complete all those town missions and the running including teleporting and the full loop your looking at an hour plus if your very lucky

yes, it's not a perfect 30 min rotation, that would just be in an ideal world. In reality, you could be doing side quests / gathering along the way etc. Not sure if you watched the whole video, but Larsen did do the main and side quests, just at particular times. Most of level 1-23 was main + side quests before he moved to town boards. Then we did side quests only when his Azoth was low.

@@ZZZXYZ The ruling company has to physically spend money to upgrade the city which puts the town board missions on there for people to complete. All town boards will have 1 by default in order to help with taxes, it will have 1 for fort defenses, 1 for crafting table upgrades and then there's 1 for a 3 day buff for people with houses in that territory.

Nope. The only issue is dead servers often don't have full town board missions. High pop servers it still works perfectly. And even on low pop servers the mob farming tactic part of the video still works perfectly

Don't even think about gear. Just equip whatever has bigger green numbers and salvage everything else. Do this until your gear score hits 600 on every piece and then start looking at the stats to find the best piece of gear. If its not gear score 600 then nothing about it matters at all so don't even worry or think about it :)

Larsen (the speedrunner) said he enjoys speedrunning, trying to be the most efficient person in the world is fun for him, it drives him. And for others, it's taking their time and enjoying other aspects of the game. nice theory . no way this is a fast way to lvl. you just do not get much xp. for most you get like 500-1200 xp others are more rare you get around 3500xp .

Because if you only ever use peices of gear that you find and you never repair your stuff, you can save tens of thousands of gold. Also Vash can beat any dungeon in the entire game with completely broken gear so it wasn't necessary for him to repair and use gold (Meags, the editor)
