I would like they rework a little the suppressor, something like making the damage at range like the extended barrel, cause that’s what they do irl, and instead of 15% damage reduction, just 10%

if anything suppressor would reduce damage at range since generally speaking when you use a suppressor you're using subsonic rounds as well, which have less velocity which means it doesn't hit as hard at range and has more bullet drop. Suppressor definitely needs a rework.

suppressor should get the old compensator value of 17% recoil diamond fix, and compensator should be significantly buffed to let's say 45% recoil diamond reduction. extended barrel should be longer range drop off +17% recoil reduction. That way both of those attachments (Supp and EB) are actually competitive picks to the other 2.

Okay... Other than .45, 300 Blackout, and internally sound dampened weapons, when a weapon is used in combat, supersonic rounds are being used. Subsonic rounds have trouble cycling, and defeating body armor, not to mention the don't fragment or tumble very well. Supressors also don't influence projectile velocity with any meaningful speed. The moment the bullet leaves the barrel, velocity begins to decrease, with the exception of rocket propelled bullets lol I agree with everyone here though, the damage drop on these things is absurd

The Suppressor should do the reverse of the Extended Barrel. Either make the damage drop off earlier or make the damage drop off happen more sharply instead of being a slow way down. Extended Barrel should just make the max damage range last for longer.

There are different developers and they work on different things. Of course that is no excuse for audio going broken for so long, but audio engineers aren't artists, so why would they not update the UI while the sound is being fixed? It's not like the artists are needed for fixing the sound, and it's not like the sound engineers will be any good at needlessly touching up operator icons.

It's a problem with almost all the top developers nowadays. They don't want to pay the license fees for mainstream game engines, so everyone is trying to develop their own. EA forcing their devs to build battlefield on the Fifa engine, Ubisoft trying to run a first person shooter and the Assassin's creed engine... It makes it harder for sure. But maybe with enough development time, their own engines will be up to the task in future.

@@Rogue9 well ofc they dont want to pay a competitor like Epic to use the Unreal Engine.. even tho its astronomically superior to everything Ubisoft or EA have. But the inhouse Engines are so highly customized for every game that the only thing they have in common is the name. I could bet that the Assassins Creed and the R6 Siege are vastly different and that you could never make an Assassins Creed game with the R6 Siege engine and vise versa.

@@Rogue9 For how great engines like Unreal are, they aren't always amazingly optimized for everything. By default Unreal for example doesn't do destruction that well (siege), or larger player counts (new BF), also there is an argument to be made that monopolies/duopolies lead to less innovation in the industry. As an indie dev, it would be amazing to see an engine like unreal/unity ship with Siege's destruction, server meshing (or at least more advanced networking), etc by default, but I definitely don't think it's always cheaper for AAA studios to not use their in-house engines (Let alone something like DICE's frostbite has always been very capable), as they are developed for the specific purpose the game studio foresees it will be used for, and then later on, when all the devs are familiar with the engine retraining to a dif engine becomes clearly more expensive. Look at for example how long PUBG took to deliver a finished product. It was in a worse state than BF4 even for a long time, and PUBG didn't even need that much new tech that didn't ship with Unreal at the time.

No wonder I haven't felt a need to run compensator on the Scorpion. I've been running it with a suppressor since it often helps more than the compensator. Its already low damage really isn't hampered too much by it, and roaming's nature makes the lack of sound and tracer pretty useful.

@@TheIziPizi Yeah, my scorpion loadout is equally as scuffed. Irons, suppressor, vertical grip, laser. I'm good at hiding lasers so I use them on defense (not on attack though, it's easier to hold an angle than to swing one with a laser), but irons on the scorpion are actually really solid and genuinely make the recoil feel better to me. It's why I gravitated towards suppressor in the first place.

when i played the new update testing out muzzle attachments in Thunt i was surprised on how the comp felt like it didn't do anything, the only guns i could even notice a change was SMG secondaries. yet the flash hider felt like it made everything a laser... I will never understand how Ubisoft can't get stats right in their own video game. it's truly insane.

Can you share the data you gathered for recoil? I would like to make decisions for my new attachments and I think I'd have an easier time, if I had all the hard numbers. Rather than just spending alot of time in T Hunt on each gun and deciding what is best, based on feel. This way I can make most of my decisions beforehand and make changes based on feel as I play.

I play on console and switched to flash hider on almost everything and the recoil feels great. Gunfights are way more reliable now and seem less random with the small bounciness some guns had with their recoil.

Funniest part about all this is that flash hiders irl dont even do all of that, its a FLASH HIDER, not a RECOIL HIDER. Muzzle breaks controls all the recoil from all the bullets when firing a gun irl, but apparently it only applies to the first few shots (?) in R6.

I have a feeling that the first shot wasn't being accounted for by ubi since they didn't mention it when they described what the attachments will do in the future. The fact that the muzzle break still provides the smoothes start when shooting is super dumb. They should take out the first shot recoil as something affected by the attachments. Then the attachments can really be choice. As it stands now, the comp is just the worst and the flash hider will only be picked on guns that really have a hard recoil and even then the muzzle might be the better one to go. The big first shot recoil you've to compensate for when using the comp doesn't make up for the better recoil later down the spray. When I tested it on the TS almost every attacker gun felt best with the muzzle. Feels like the time when they first introduced the muzzle and everyone rocked it.

I had to manually go and look at his chart showing 3% Total Vert on FH (Old) and compare it to the 15% Total Vert on FH (New). Also he didn’t talk much about muzzle brake results? I tried out the bearing the other day and it oddly felt like there was less horizontal recoil when I used the flash hider. With the flash hider the gun seemed to climb straight up while with the compensator it still seemed to bounce around a bit. Maybe I'm mistaken but this is Ubisoft we're dealing with here, so I don't know.

Oh yeah, what I showed was that it didn't work on the old live servers but was improved (if a little inconsistent) on the TS. So even though I could not establish a constant improvement percentage for the way it works now, they it definitely seems more reliable than it was before

My theory about why there are weird recoil discrepancies with the scorpion and F2 is that the devs decided to create new recoil patterns on guns which they tweaked after a certain date. Twitch got the recoil nerf and if I’m not mistaken Ela got a recoil buff relatively recently right?

Hey Rogue? Now that the new season's out and in our hands, I've noticed something a little odd: at least according to the recoil pattern stat in the menu, for a couple of guns, most notably Zofia's M762 and Maverick's M4, the Muzzle Brake seems busted, offering *way* more recoil control than any other option, as though it's affecting every shot instead of just the first. Is this just a bug in the display, is the Muzzle Brake actually affecting recoil that severely, or is the Muzzle Brake functioning as intended and it just looks like it's doing a lot more than it should?

Last time I checked, most of the recoil charts in the game are pretty good indicators of actual recoil BUT, there have always been a few exceptions. I pointed them out in past videos but I highly doubt the devs did anything about them, even if they saw the info. So TL:DR, yes some of them might definitely be wrong and if it's the MB looking suuper strong, it might well be busted

I think the dev should have introduced a new barrel attachment instead of changing the existing barrel drastically.

Clarification for other fellow viewers: every shot counts as a first shot with a DMR and presumably also a pistol. I was expecting way more from this muzzle """""overhaul""""". Like, I really expected the mechanics of functionality to change instead of a simple retuning of mitigation intensity. They didn't even make MBs more interesting. As someone who mainly uses Compensator and to a lesser extent Flash Hider on automatics on current live (eve of new season today.) I am mostly disappointed with the extent of this change. I think there might be a disconnect between designers and technical staff on this, or the designers simply don't know what they are doing with regards to recoil.

Now wonder why the scorpion and the Alda feel so bad with the compensator, these 2 guns can really use the compensator but it's bugged who would have thought

I've been using flash on pretty much everything but the increased reset time has messed me up a couple of times already in the new season.

I don't think bug No.1 is a bug. The old muzzle brake and flash hider reduce the first shot both vertical and horizontal recoil. The new flash hider have no first shot recoil reduce, but muzzle brake remain the same. The recoil pattern graph in game is pretty accurate.

even before this change, I could control recoil on everything exceptionally well. now with the flash hider buff, ive been accused of using strikepacks, mnk, and recoil control macros (which doesn't exist on console)

Can you please share your sens? Vertical one. My one is trash after the update, even the lowest recoil is hard.

@@_Simoes vertical sensitivity is 40, ads sensitivity is 50, both deadzones are 10. I told all that because its all used to control recoil, not just vertical sens.

Isn’t compensator better bc it reduces horizontal and that’s the one that is harder to control since vertical is easy

I find the first shot recoil to be the worst especially on some guns. It gives you a false alarm to pull down hard and then you find yourself shooting at their chest instead of their head.

How is "first shot" defined? My intuition suggests that the first shot is the shot fired when the gun is centred, i.e. not currently recoiling or re-centring after recoiling.This confuses me when it comes to semi-auto guns. People say the muzzle break is the best for semi-auto because every shot is a "first shot," but that doesn't make sense based on my intuition of what the first shot is.

I think it’s the first shot of a full auto spray. So basically if you shoot in single fire the recoil makes it go up but it’s instantly counteracted by the muzzle recentering the sight.

I do not think that is correct because you can easily shoot a second shot before it re-centres.

Last time I tested single shot weapons, it was really every singe shot that gets the benefit. From my understanding, the first shot is every time you click or push the trigger, no matter what else is going on.

They should buff suppressors taking out the damage reduction.

personally i think a great idea would be to make the damage model for suppressors the inverse of the extended barrels, if that makes sense. the extended barrel doesn't affect the base damage, only the damage drop off. suppressors should work the same but opposite imo
