If you ask me, the heroes like Geraldo and this new one don't feel like they fit in with the spirit of BTD. The spirit of BTD, at least to me, is just placing towers and then not needing micromanaging past targeting where they hit or if they target first/last/strong/close. Though, Geraldo definitely feels closer to the spirit of BTD than this guy.
