Actually, they use a solid block of metal with a smoothbore barrel, bolted to a giant block of steel bolted to the concrete floor. Some manufacturers do give you values for different barrel lengths, but it's almost always this setup. In the real world, temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, how tight or loose your rifling is in your barrel, how clean the barrel is, how much energy it takes to work the action, and the weight/stiffness of the shooter, will all affect your end velocity.

Actually… the booster works by using the explosion/expansion of gas to actually push the barrel rearward, or rather push the suppressor and barrel in opposite directions. Hence why it’s called a piston. Some people think the spring just allows movement but this is wrong it actually uses combustion to push just like a motor piston. If you don’t believe it, put a booster on a fixed barrel rifle and put the stick against a wall and the suppressor will be pushed forward if you watch it on slow motion video.

These kinds of systems always bugged me a bit because the whole Glock mechanism is designed for the barrel to tilt up when the action cycles, and having a long barrel in there like that seems like it would wear down the locking block and slide a lot faster just from all that mass and leverage moving around. I guess if you're in a pinch in a SHTF scenario and need something you can control a bit better that can also send rounds at a bit higher velocity, it could be the way to go.

Looking at the barrel on that Glock, it reminds me of that '88 Magnum' scene in Johnny Dangerously - Apparently, they also make them for Glock clones. If interested, they have one for the PSA Dagger, and P80s. This might be a fun little conversion toy for my Dagger, I've done too much to my G19 to undo it all for this but purposefully kept my Dagger stock. The fact that this can be swapped back/forth in a matter of minutes is great for a little variety at the range.

Yep. I've noticed the failure rate of factory center fire ammo has increased. It's not dramatic but it's noticeable. I had a primer pop out of a fired round of Winchester M855 and get stuck in the cam pin track on my BCG. When I fired the next round, the primer in the cam pin track got squished when the BCG tried to unlock and I had to remove my upper and beat my BCG out of the upper receiver with the cleaning rod so I could remove the primer from the cam pin track.

At 15:32 there appears to be a socket on the bottom behind the magwell. I couldn't see for sure, but looked possibly like a QD. Also, you can use m-lok Qd accessories for mounting a sling possibly. I'd try for accuracy with an LPVO like a 1-4 and I bet it would improve. ;)

I love all things Glock. I am surprised that it ran that reliable with the long barrel. This little kit with some Underwood +p+ would definitely generate some serious downrange energy. Accuracy is gonna be Minute Of Hog at 50 yards and in but, that is way better than you can achieve with a handgun.

@Obi-Wan Kenobi Well, I use a Glock 17 with an Endotactical adapter on it and a RMR. Sometimes I run a G17L long barrel on it. The longer barrel only adds velocity. Since the optic is mounted to slide in my case but, the barrel floats inside your accuracy is gonna be about 6moa at best. Also I have used chassis that pistol clamps in like the micro-roni same deal. If you bench rest a gun like that and shoot at a paper plate size target at 50 yards, most would be in about a 3" circle. That would be about 6moa. The problem is you will have flyers that will be at the edge of the plate. It is basically like having an optic that is lose and flopping around. You take an AR9 on the other hand. Regardless of barrel length. I have uppers from 3 inch up. They will put a good group in. Just a ragged hole at 30-50 yards. And out group what the Glock will do at close distance at 100. Not to say these don't have their place. This little chassis he demonstrates would be a great option up close. For sure Minute Of Bad Guy inside of any home. Faster follow up shots. Way easier to shoot than the pistol.

I have a thing for short handy rifles. A two to six-pound weaker recoil spring should allow the slide to extract the empty cases with more authority. A carbine kit would be more interesting on pistols with more potential accuracy. Someone mentioned Brettas. I would add CZ-75s, CZ-P07, CZ-P09, and all the double-stack 1911s to the group. As Wyatt Earp noted, accuracy is everything," and Col. Whelen said, "only accurate rifles are interesting," so fixed barrel pistols, even in the lower powered 380 (9mm Browning) and 9×18mm Makarov would make interesting rifle conversions. Many of these pistols have pressed-in barrels, so the change would be permanent or require a gunsmith to make a way to change barrels.

I like it and I think it would be fine for a home defense weapon if you didn't have a rifle. It looks good and is very compact. I think it would help reliability and ejection if you used plus P ammunition. The extra power should help overcome the extra weight of that long barrel. I would like this in .40 cal or 10mm This thing would make an excellent prop gun for Sci-Fi movies. I would like to see a price closer to $350 on this system though. I could totally retrofit QD mounts on this thing. I mounted one on the side of one of those cheap M4 style collapsible stocks and it wasn't that hard. All I used was a cordless drill and some basic hand tools.

@@aledrpepg Yes you can but this is a lot shorter and more compact. The amazing thing about the bullpup configuration is you can have something that's completely legal but yet has an overall length that looks more like an SBR and it doesn't lose velocity the way you do with a short barrel. This thing isn't perfect but I think it would be a great choice with some plus P ammunition. I will probably never get it but if I had enough money to buy a bunch of things I don't really need I probably would. I do have a 3rd gen Glock 23 to put this thing in so maybe if I catch it on sale sometime. I'm pretty sure the Glock 19 version would work with it if I got a 9 millimeter slide.

I can see why the accuracy would not be great. The barrel muzzle very visibly jumps around in firing, as it must be free to do for the action to function. Then the slide must be free to move internally, so the outer shell can't be clamping that closely, either. The only thing left is the plastic frame of the pistol, and with manufacturing tolerances on both sides of the equation there, even that is not going to be held in place with any great precision. So you have looseness at the root, and additional compounding layers of looseness as you get closer to what really counts for accuracy, which is the barrel.

great content great review: to be honest I would be interested in a pistol carbine conversion if it were available for other pistol platforms besides just Glock such as Canik, S&W, or even Taurus etc. but it is cool I just do not own any models of a Glock just "yet".

Glad me mentioned on the wiggle of the barrel. Don’t know much of anything on glock or conversation kits and this caught my eye for something fun and goofy to bring out in front of the guys while shooting.

That is probably the best chassis I've seen yet. Sling mounts! You got it MAC it's 2023 that should just be a regular thing they add on all firearms and firearms accessories.

There's a QD sling mount on the rear under the stock adjustment lever. Looks like a screw hole but is actually a metal reinforced QD sling hole according to their site.

With the longer barrel and more muzzle velocity, I assume it could be utilized as a Personal Defense Weapon. Some simple iron sights would be nice. A rail could be attracted at the front end sides and a sling swivel attached to either side and 550 type cord through the adjustable stock depression at the rear. I agree with you that it should have some irons designed into the piece. Thanks for the video. Next, someone needs to come up with a multiple magazine carry system for different and similar mag sizes.

fix the ejection port and build it big enough to accomodate a suppressor on standard length barrel for folks that have an SBRd glock and this could be fun, also, sling mounts as mentioned.

The barrel moves about 1/2 inch up and down when the charging handle is racked. Also when it fires. Pretty sure the browning lockup isn’t meant for that much barrel weight. I see issues in this gums future. Imo.

This just looks like Fun!! That's a good reason to get this!! Would it replace any of my self defense / SHTF guns? No. But most of the guns I have are for fun! Yes I could use my Colt / Ruger Single Action revolvers for anything including self defense. But I have more useful guns for that. For a short bullpup I'll use my Tavor. Thanks for the review!! 🍻 Cheers

Good presentation and glad I saw it. The flaws:, inaccuracy, inability to use a can, no sling points, potential for casing to fully eject are why I wouldn't buy. If on the other hand a G20 and can could be used I would reconsider.

I want that barrel for my Glock 43....and you know those suppressors that allow you to add as many baffles as you want and allow you to make it as long as you want? Yeah I'll take like...30 of those little baffles...that ought to be a good start.

I'll probably lean more towards the Norlite chassis that they are in the process of bringing to market in the US. It only uses the frame of the Glock and uses its own upper with a free floated barrel so on paper it should have much better accuracy. Though the price might be a bit higher...

Matt-try using a Glock lighter recoil spring to cycle the the gun faster for a longer throw if it is a gen 3, the gen 5 can use the 44 recoil spring which is close to 16 pounds not 18-19 like a 9 mm.

Hey boss....for those of us that 3d print...you can get a soldering iron, put a QD mount on the plastic where you want it...then use the soldering iron to heat it up, and sink it down into the plastic. boom - problem solved. (depending on depth of plastic on the chassis obviously)

A question from a guy living in Chile, a country where civilians almost can't touch a rifle, no carry, a lot of paperwork for hunting, etc. I noticed that the barrel tip moves up and return down. The bullet is out before the barrel is muzzle up? Is accurate the gun?

The only conversion kit that actually locks the glock frame into an upper and feeds like a real carbine is from Norlite....unfortunately we probably wont see it in the US.
