It depends on the rifle. Some shoot better clean, others like a little copper. Some cartridges build up much faster than others. Like 22-250. The biggest reason to clean is to prevent over pressure. The first couple of inches are critical. Don’t let carbon/copper build up until you’re pushing out primers. That isn’t hog wash. It’s fact.

I never can understand the phrase "shortest lived service rifle". The M14 is still used by our military to this day. Just now it's used as a DMR/SNIPER rifle instead of a general infantry rifle.

God I have that moment of "education" all the time with people who want to ban assault rifles! The extraordinarily deadly 5.56, which is illegal to use for hunting deer in a lot of states because it's _not powerful enough_ ... Once we are past the "deadliest" 5.56, we then get to semiautomatic does not equal a machine gun, that the semiautomatic was invented in the 19th centuries and for decades was used by _hunters only_ , the militaries preferring the more reliable bolt action at that time. Then we examine the terrifying use of black plastic vs wood (which has no bearing on the operation of a gun... Etc etc etc.

Before inserting the magazine, you might want to tap it a few times against the weapon or ballistic helmet. This ensures that the spring does not lock in place and can move freely.

I highly dislike 5.56,to small to truly get the job done,yes it does some damage but it’s kind of like coming to a gunfight poorly prepared.

I don't know why these government officials are so worried about multiple round magazines or firearms. They should be more worried about the firearm that can reach out a mile and hit its Target with one shot

Good stuff. I've been meaning to lay hands on one in x39 to try. I have AKs & ARs in the caliber (as well as a Ruger #1 and a CZ527), but I'd prefer the AK mags with an ARish rifle. The Sig556R didn't really cut it in my opinion

So what's your point? There's a reason why the US military has been armed with variants of the AR-15 in 5.56 with 20-30 round mags for 60 years.
@theseus9002 сағат бұрын
its a gun designed to kill people I don't get the why a lot of pro 2A's like myself cant understand that. Instead of just admitting its a assault weapon by design they would rather compare and contrast other calibers and rifles, as if they had no better options in WW2. Any US soldier in WW2 would take an AR-15 in a heart beat, its a damn effective gun, hence why its used by most of the world.

the reason why you are supposed to fire with your support hand is because if there is a malfunction, you do not want the round to be in your hand... you want to be behind the 1/4 inch plate that the primer rests up against... especially with plastic hull and low quality rounds... i would say this is even more prevalent with HE and HEDP rounds, however their primer will not align unless there is enough centripetal force to align the primer... (ie the round has to travel roughly 50 feet to have the primer align and detonate). the lifting charge is not enough to detonate the inert binary in the ordinance. Simply put its not a matter of preference... its a matter of safety. also in front of the firing mechanism is where the expulsion of gasses from the lift charge are vented. generally not good to put your support hand there. it increases accuracy so there is a definite reason they advise against it

I think the difference people tend to consider is capacity most battle cartridges are used on stripper clips or 8rd end blocks in the case of 30-06. Whereas the standard for 5.56 is starting out at 30rd magazines de facto.

Bare bones I’m guessing: 4K The fully loaded SBR (for us in the USA) that he has in his hands: 6.5K I know a lot of people harsh on B&T for their high prices, and I get it. I only own one, it’s a GHM9 Gen 2 with Glock lower and telescoping stock. They were selling for around 2.7k, I was super fortunate and found one for 2K brand new from factory. It hurt the wallet but I have no regrets except not buying another one. The craftsmanship is amazing! Fit and finish is astounding! The action is buttery smooth! Accuracy is great and it’s one of my favorite shooters! Never had any issues with ammo and the fact that the lower takes Glock mags makes it a sweet pairing to my carry guns.

Why would you spend a single dollar on the current crop of trash they are building. This will be the only good 9mm subgun type they have sold in the United States in years/ever. The direct blowback market doesn't make sense at 900 dollars let alone thousands and to say otherwise is delusional.

I love how anti gun stuff is universally "smort" around the world. And Laws made by people with no idea turn out to be useless, who would´ve thought? I might not get a Gun without a license, sporting club membership and paperwork here in Germany. But atleast I can own a 75mm rifled black powder cannon at the age of 18.. why? Well, the law says it is a "Less dangerous object" compared to "modern firearms" like a 6mm Flobert pistol.
