@@ozricus It's a bit confusing but if you check their website they say on the plugin's page that they will be issuing "perpetual" licenses to everyone who signs up for the beta, so it sounds like it's free for beta testers and they will email us a new license code when it's out of beta.

Thanks for the video! I've been trying out the plugin and it does sound really good. It's still a pre-release version and I'm hoping they get the bugs worked out. I've been testing it and the first thing I've noticed is that the ceiling control is not catching overs like FabFilter Pro-L2 or Brainworx Limiter TruePeak do. I had the ceiling set to -1.5 dB but it was outputting at -0.3 dB which makes it hard to trust for mastering purposes. Fingers crossed! -chaz

Because the dr is speaking from an operating room. I’ve tried it before with dry audio and it looks terrible. I learned a long time ago from film Work that the audio must match the video environment.

I don’t have any videos about that but usually when you purchase a plugin they send you an install link that gives you the install file and it usually includes pretty detailed instructions on how to install it. Usually not too difficult.

I tested this against Fab L2, Waves L2, DMG Limitless. This is I'm sorry to say not a "go to limiter by the pros" plugin. At the same amounts of gain reduction this was the one with the most distortion. Like audible overdrive pedal like distortion. DMG Limitless is still the best. Followed closely by Fab L2. Even Waves L2 was cleaner than this was.

Sounded killer on my mix. I don’t compare different plugins with the same settings as I’ve found it doesn’t really mean anything. Does it sound good or not to you? It sounds great to me but if it’s not your thing that’s cool. Also I actually do know a lot of pro mixer and mastering guys that are tossing out their go to Fab Filter L2 for the character in this limiter.. All good..

Thanks for checking it out! I"ve made some changes to 0.2.0 that drastically reduces distortion. Found a fun little gremlin between oversampling and the attack time.

@@DanKorneff Hi, I'm already on V0.2.0 - I'm simply setting the threshold on all limiters so the source material is increased to the same lufs level (and roughly doing the same amount of GR. I'm sorry to say Juan distorts a lot sooner than the others. I guess its fine for a tiny bit of limiting but thats not something I'm willing to replace my usual limiters over. I was very interested to replace my waves L2 to be honest (as yours has the option to go dual mono) but l2 is surprisingly cleaner than juan at similar GR amounts.

Another super-interesting video! I liked the punchy setting. Are there any other limiters that tempo sync? I usually dislike aggressive limiting but in the right hands--your hands--it did sound great. I actually like the stock limiter in Reaper but I use it more to fix problems than to enhance and I've given up the whole volume war thing.

Thanks for the great tip Doctor Bob. I have one for you, try Supertone Clear on your mic when you record in the room with room reverb then no one will ask anymore why you are far from you mic. Take care

Hi Bobby, thanks for the video. : ) For anyone considering downloading yet another Limiter, just to clarify, this one that's "breaking the internet" is NOT free, or more accurately, it's FREE TO USE FOR SEVEN DAYS. You get a demo Licence that's valid for a week, then it appears there may be a limited option to get it free. If you miss this you'll have to buy it and some of this Developer's plugins are far from cheap. : ) Kind regards, Darren (Wales, UK)

Well, I agree it looks great for free, and I'll probably get it and try it. But, you do know about the TC Electronic MD4, right? It's easily the best limiter / multi-band compressor / EQ I've ever heard. Though I do follow it with Elevate in some circumstances. But, to each his own. It's best to use what you know and trust rather than what someone else thinks is great / the best. Thanks for making us aware!

Sounds great! If I didn't already own (and like) Sonnox Inflator and L2 (and L1, which I use less of), this covers a lot of ground and would be compelling (depending on price). Appreciate hearing it both on mix and isolated. Cheers!

Great presence in the sound - at first glance, it seems glossier than L1 and with a little more presence than L2. Great impact. I've run into a couple quirks with the display of presets and activation prompts; maybe my system, hard to say. I submitted a report through the web site. Cheers!

"Because of the great response to our public beta test. we are extending the test until January 9th. All public beta licenses will expire on January 9th, regardless of the date of plugin installation. We will be issuing perpetual licenses for no charge to everyone who downloaded an EJL public beta plugin. If your EJL beta license has expired already, please reset it by going to the licensing section of the plugin, deactivating it, and then reactivating it. This will reset your license." For anyone comparing this to say, Fab L3. It's public beta.
