Amy and JDF remained close throughout their adult lives. She was devastated by his death, and I'd say this comic is her way of saying goodbye and having a little bit of wish fullfilment where she never left the show and Tommy and Kimberly stayed together. We've already had a retconning of their breakup in the comics where it was revealed that in the original timeline she broke up with him not because she'd found someone else but because she loved him too much to make him endure a long-distance relationship, and that retcon was written by Amy herself. This is, to put it simply, a goodbye to the man she loved.

I'm all for having Tommy and Kimberly's daughter, from an alternate universe, take out the mantle of her father as the Green Ranger. It kind of reminds me of the fan web series Power Rangers unworthy where in that continuity there is a female version of Tommy. Plus seeing Jason as a vigilante version of the Red Ranger is pretty awesome and even the concept art makes him look like Kratos from the God of War series.

I wish we could get more out-of-continuity stories like this for Powers Rangers. I would love to see them go back to older seasons and explore what would have happened had the story for those teams continued beyond just the one season they almost all were limited to.

You know one time I created my own Oc female Green ranger but with a different name (and I’m sure others have too) but now it’s cool we’re actually getting a fem Green ranger and she’s the daughter to our favorite rangers Tommy and Kim, honestly I say it was bound to happen some time at least in the comics anyway.Thanks for the heads up I’m looking forward to your next video 👍👍👍

Ngl I kinda hope they go forward with this and make a second gen mighty morphing team. I mean why not? We have a yellow ranger and they could do a story line like this and have Tommy’s daughter take up the role. Then from there maybe Billy has a son/daughter that’s half Aquarian and that can play into their ranger powers and be the blue ranger, maybe Ayesha has a daughter or son that can be the pink ranger, and maybe from there the rest of the rangers could have either a kid of their own or like a niece/nephew or like kid their mentoring take up their mantle

I’m so excited for this comic and I’m really hoping one day we’ll get the crossover I wish they would do. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and Sailor Moon. They have a lot of similarities so it would be something to see them interact and work together to take down evil. They’ve already done crossovers with Godzilla and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles so why not Sailor Moon also.

I think every time a KZbinr makes a video about the Multiverse they should recommend a video for really old or really young people who can't understand Concepts like that. I consume a lot of sci-fi and fantasy content that involves multiverses. I know the first time I heard about another world I didn't get confused as half of the people in these comments. I'm not claiming to be any sort of Genius. I just didn't realize the Multiverse was such a hard concept to wrap your head around for the average person.🤯

I'm genuinely excited as I'm not only a hug Fan of Female Empowerment and all of that, but also MMPR Green Ranger is one of my Favorite Power Rangers of all time much like with every one else. And as an Extra Bonus she's also a 6th Ranger as I've always wanted a Female 6th due to the Female Empowerment that I talking about. But my Problem is I'm just afraid that Most Power Rangers Fans would say that that's not the 'Tommy Kid' that they want as a Green Ranger. As I think Most Fans wants to Fan Cast JJ To be the next Green Ranger when it comes to 'Tommy Kids' being Green Rangers. And while other Fans wants the Green Ranger in the Boom Comics. But as for me I Personally like this New Green Ranger Better, I'll even say the Best. In fact the only Minor Grip about her is that I just wished she was Named After JDF's Real Life Daughter to Honor him that much more. But as is I still like her being the Latest Green Ranger. Which is why I'm going to try my very best to get the Comic when it releases.

The daughter that Tommy had with Kimberly became the New Mighty Morphin Green Ranger while the son that Tommy had with Katherine became the New SPD Green Ranger along with the Dragon Shield come on it's awkward enough that Tommy had kids with the 2 women he dated even though it's good thing this didn't happen the same dimension but in two different dimensions but why did both kids had to become Green Rangers why couldn't they got promoted to be Red Rangers and lead their own teams of rangers in their own dimensions?

I really appreciate you clarifying JDF's daughter wanting to carry the torch, because having a daughter from Kimberly and Tommy felt like it was in bad taste initially when I found out. I initially resented Amy Jo Johnson's decision to not participate in the anniversary special, but still promote her work through Power Rangers: once I realized how toxic it sounded in my head I decided to not think that way. I always thought Katherine and Tommy were kindred spirits due to their mutual histories of prolonged mind control and gas lighting by the villains, and to be honest their relationship felt more mature due to Kat's elegance and level-headedness. It also felt like by Turbo they were living together, and despite the many flaws in Turbo they did a good job and showing what a post high school relationship between two Rangers would be like. I will read this comic with an open mind given the real life reasonings behind Olivia.

It's a different universe, so it is not retconning anything. If Jason Zack and Trini didn't leave then Kim didn't leave either. If she never left then there's no reason for her to break up with Tommy
