How is the on call like in hotel maintenance?

the hotel I work at, I am a one man maintenance, and they only want me at 25 hours a week. They call from time to time, but it's not expected. If it was an emergency and I was available, I could go get the hours. But I have been doing my own handyman work so usually busy when they are calling....I am getting back into apartment maintenance, there is more money in it in my area. If you are coming from apartment maintenance, then there is no where close to as many emergency calls in a hotel, especially if it is a newer hotel. Apartment maintenance, can expect that on call phone to ring when it is your time...
