The joys of running a business is finding good techs.
Got a run down of the new guys toolbox,
he been collecting tools for only two years but got a great start with a great box.
The brand new Cornwell 84 inch main in Gray with metallic cornwell blue trim.
Cornwell Quality Tools has introduced a new line of high-end tool boxes called the Platinum series. Currently rolling out and available now is an 84-inch double bank cabinet. In development and scheduled for a 2019 release are a 67-inch double bank cabinet, 84-inch triple bank cabinet, and a Platinum series locker and canopy line.

The Platinum Boxes are absolute tanks. If I had a stable Cornwell guy I’d step up and sign in. It’s the only boxes that would tempt me away from my 6S boxes. I love that color combo as well.

Beautiful Box. Interesting really. Some guys just starting out find a nice in between (40-56”) for the first major Tool Box upgrade. It’s interesting that he jumped right to the Big Dog. I gotta Tell you that Platinum really Pops! Thanks for sharing your set up. 🍻👍

He said he had a master series snap on with work center that he dropped unloading it off a tow truck.🤯 Cornwell took the damaged box on trade if he got this one, gave him a fair trade in price too .

Beautiful box. It was a smart move for Cornwell to buy out Kennedy. To me it looks like the newer Cornwell boxers are made better compared to when they just contracted out to Kennedy and Waterloo.

Top shelf Box in my opinion, hadn't seen the Cornwell man since about 83 84 when I worked for a Highway construction company in the Equipment and Truck shop, things have come a long way since then as far as the Ratchets and specialty tools, nice set.

I have a buddy who is a Matco fan, and he dislikes Cornwell pretty strongly. Everything I see here says this is in the same class as Snap-on and Matco. It is certainly nicer than my Snap-on Classic 10 drawer (3 full width drawers). I absolutely love the Cornwell drawer opening mechanism compared to the one on my box; mine just feels cheap and rides across the paint to latch when it closes. It's plastic so won't do much, but you can see the marks after a while. Snap-on really missed the mark there... but I got this box 2.5 years old in excellent shape for 30% of new price, so I can't complain too much.

almost everything i have is kept in cases. My snap-on master series fits what i got wonderfully in the last 2 drawers. Idk if cornwell had the space... MAYBE roughly 8 min tall?

Wow. How much do mechanics make in a right to work state, $20 hr? How do you afford all that? As a journeyman electrician I went from making 19.50 hr, 0 benifits in florida and supplying all of my own tools for a complete service van set up working free hours etc. Now I moved states, joined the union I make 57 hr take home, pension and full benefits. And the companies supply alll tools and ppe besides basic hand tools.

Lisle makes a really nice set and their usa made and have the steps aswell they are the original design of that type of pickle fork tool sunex like every other Asia tool company just copies someone else and sell it for less and kill usa companies with copied under quality tools

Nice tool box love the color, I used to like cornwell tools I have lot of there older American made tools but nowadays most of there hand tools are imported junk from China the last ratchet I bought from them was china junk so I return it so disappointing not worth the price that are asking.

Save thousands and get a CRX or extreme tool box, hell a harbor frieght, dont tell you need a big 3 box, I worked out of a $900 41" SS samsclub tool box, box doesn't make you a better tech period! complete waste of money could have better & more tools. Most the guys who buy these boxes need them b/c the get moved somewhere else.

R230Tuner you’re just like me keeping all your diag separate. I love the pico 4425 my favorite I use it with a surface pro. I have the Autel maxiscope and took my pico leads and gave it to the Autel scope so I could by 5M pico leads for my pico 4425. I use the HF 30” 5 draw for all my diag. It fits my pico, my Autel, power probe and all my leads fuses etc. then I use my other 5 draw 30” for my every day hand tools so I’m not going to my boxes and I can move the cart on either side I’m working on. I have the snap on Verus edge, Autel Elite and the launch Torque. What do you have for scanners? Stuff adds up I guess that’s why I never went with a 80” box

I have a few boxes: Craftsman, US General, Kobalt, Kennedy, Yukon, and several vintage boxes made in the late-'40s. Recently sold a MAC box. Hadn't really looked at it all around since it was placed in the shop. As I was cleaning it up for sale, couldn't help noticing its build quality. We often hear how the 44" HFT box is comparable to professional storage. IMO, it's not; the MAC was built to a noticeably higher standard. The Cornwell box in the vid looks fantastic. If its build quality is on par with other Cornwell boxes I've seen, the price is not unreasonable. Of course it's not inexpensive, but if one buys it while in school at a substantial discount and keeps it for the duration of his career (20-30 years), the prorated cost is greatly minimized. And, he gets to use a fine piece of equipment every day bringing a sense of satisfaction every time a drawer is opened or closed. Not a bad deal.

I wish the socket trays were 1/4 filled up the entire tray then you had to buy a 3/8 tray for 3/8 on the entire rack and same for the 1/2 instead of the 1/4 3/8 and 1/2 inch on same tray
