A few interesting Davidson-Bergeron connections here: 1. George Wallace and Ellen DeGeneres would both return on the 1998-2004 incarnation of Squares in some capacity. The former as an early semi-regular during the 1st few seasons. The latter as one of the rotating center squares during the 5th season. 2. Spago, which is Wolfgang Puck’s restaurant later did the backstage catering for the celebrities’ meals on Bergeron’s version in between taping sessions. 3. Bob Barker while he didn’t appear as panelist on Tom Bergeron’s he would make several appearances during Game Show Week I and coincidentally Tom Bergeron’s version would tape at The Bob Barker Studio (aka Studio 33) as CBS-TV in Hollywood for its entire run, save for a couple of weeks when that version did a few weeks in New York City at the Hammerstein Ballroom.
