Today, I sat down with an incredibly authentic, down to earth human being. An author, speaker and teachers - Charles Eisenstein.
We dive into a lot of philosophy around what makes us human and his recent studies into our planet.
He will also be a keynote speaker at our New Human: Regeneration event.

Eternal is our essential Being. Through all the historical 12000 year cycles of planetary catastrophe humans have survived and we are here and now as a result. Celebrate and give gratitude for that gift from the Sun and the cosmos. ❤ coherence to all.

Lovely conversation, a gift!... two lovely humans sharing stories and also some empty spaces/stillness... perhaps worth briefly mentioning here that: "The More Beautiful World Our Hearts Know Is Possible", "The Ascent of Humanity", along with ALL of Charles’ books, are available in their entirety online. "No payment is required; donations, however, are much appreciated." says his website...

The key to a more beautiful world is simple and straight forward: we need to learn about and raise awareness about human needs. Most of them are emotional but no less biological. Everyone has to understand that everyone will become a burden or a danger if one of their needs aren't met because we will develop pathologies, because that is how we know what is missing is a need. And when we have pathologies we become a burden or a danger for everyone else. On the other hand, most everyone will become a benefit to society and everyone else if all our needs are met since conception, because that is how we become the best versions of our selves. When people understand this they start to see others as themselves and want to care about others. Then we can start to build a society in which everybody voluntarily shares the goal of meeting EVERYONE'S needs UNCONDITIONALLY with citizen let decentralized altruistic networks.

Yes mental health is the biggest obstacle to everyone more or less achieving happy. Happy being a spectrum indicates the value of first cleansing the mind of toxic or otherwise malicious thought patterns. The danger there is determining who has the qualifications to label the toxic or otherwise malicious thought. The law of the land must also be respected. The constitution of these United States relies on a shared morality. Christianity is that communal moral glue which was the framers vision. The awareness of this is critical. Awareness Acceptance more precisely. Look to Israel. Look to Palestine. Perhaps entertaining that religiously based borders would be best. Look to New York City for proof. The religious/cultural boundaries are delineated by the blocks that they...the plethora of diversity.. self select. Seeing as how the United States is completely unique in it's governance. Ie: rare endangered even. We should preserve it. Live where you can thrive. Socialism Communism what ever flavour you prefer there are places for this.❤

maybe the kaliyuga matrix is ending... human kind awakening... upshift...

According to the Hindu Calendar, the Kali Yuga cycle will be ending next year. The fact that around a billion Indian people will have this on their minds is bound to have some sort of impact on the collective consciousness of humanity.

@@StoryHealer i would not say that a billion of people agree on that. far from that. we certainly are surrounded by mystery... Are we in Tribulation years? feels so...so much chaos, division and fear... in any case, We have to try to keep our inner peace, like the stillness in the bulls eye center of a tornado...while more and more of the veils are being lifted...keep calm...

I disagree with Charles regarding poor peasants having lots of free time. females especially: many children to take care of, milking of cows, feeding of chickens, collecting eggs, feeding of pigs, baking own bread, making own butter and cheese, grinding of grains for making own flour, collecting wood, making fire in the kitchen, bringing water from the water well, spinning yarn, weaving, knitting, making own clothing, washing clothing by hand, mending clothing and shoes, tending to own orchard, vegetable patch, planting crops, harvesting crops, collecting pests from the crops, weeding, watering, preserving fruit and vegies, making own sauerkraut, collecting berries, mushrooms, then processing them, cooking everything from scratch, doing dishes by hand, plucking feathers for making pillows, making own mattress out of straw, blankets, mats, even making own shoes out of leather or straw, sweeping snow, sweeping floors, collecting honey and wax, making own candles. collecting herbs for folk medicine, smoking foods, salting foods, trading foods, etc. very, very long list of never ending tasks. self sufficiency means so much work... Decades of work. no holidays. but with a different mindset than city people today, perhaps with a deeper sense of belonging and the real sense of duty, deeper meaning, closer relationships with surroundings, perhaps... more authenticity and presence in now, perhaps. Less ego minds... What we miss today is real mindfulness, humble gratitude, deep inner peace...especially nowadays, in the midst of what feels like several years of Tribulation...

There’s a lot of really great points here. Perhaps in some ways it’s not much what we’re doing, but how we’re doing it, and one thing I’ve noticed in my own life is that connection and healthy community is more important than anything else. We can’t do it all alone even though I love solo time.

@@drkevinpreston yes, there is a great (and funny) Zen saying: "Before enlightenment, chop wood, carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood, carry water." So what's the point if both before and after involve doing the exact same things? the point of enlightenment is to overcome emotional suffering." quietening of the mind makes a major difference... healthy mind is at peace with self, inner peace... and healthy communities support healthy minds... sure, it is all connected...

@@mrz6921 Perhaps it is a case of, after enlightenment - "wood is chopped, water is carried". The do-er and the done is no longer separate.
