No, they were supported by middlemen from Punjab who would lose out on money, if they were sidestepped. Punjab farmers supported bcos they didn't have a choice. BJP had to give in after elections were round the corner.

Inflation is lowest in the world and coming down. Service sector unemployment is dependent on US economy. When they have recession, they cut jobs in India too. Manufacturing is actually improving steadily. PLI schemes have helped. Exports are highest ever.
