The new IRA and the attempted murder of PSNI Detective Chief Inspector John Caldwell

A car has emerged as a key piece of evidence in the attempted murder of PSNI Detective Chief Inspector John Caldwell after football training in Omagh last week - a callous shooting which has shocked all Ireland.
The second hand Fiesta purchased in a private sale on February 8th was hidden in Belfast and then used by the gunmen who sprayed bullets at the officer after a training session for teenagers.
Nicola Tallant speaks with Belfast Telegraph Crime Correspondent Allison Morris about the recruitment of young men into the New IRA which had been deemed a reduced terror threat in Northern Ireland before the attack.
They discuss the group’s motive to kill, its use of propaganda and it’s intent to make policing Northern Ireland a thankless job.

A sad and senseless shooting...so the car 🚗 had been in the Ardoyne previously, curious but the Ardoyne can be a strange place as Robbie Lawlor was to find out. A few weeks before he disappeared, Captain Robert Nairac, patrolled the Ardoyne and tried to befriend some of the locals circa 1976. And now his unquiet ghost haunts Ravensdale forest. In memory of Father Martin Claffey, originally from outside Athlone, a prison chaplain at Crumlin Road gaol, who expired circa 1993, and now reposes at Holy ✝️ Cross, Ardoyne, the things that he saw in a conflict that is over.....✝️✝️

Fine but you forgot to deal with the elephant in the room the fact that the PSNI and the Gardai are getting more and more arrogant and abusive of people. If harassment is commonplace and those organizations of the state who should be standing for fairness like the legal system, the media and those gardai ombudsman have been captured by the police its no surprise people are looking to Saoradh as the only people who've the courage to stand up to the police.
