While locking monster zones is scary and all I think locking S/T zones is going to become the new wave once people start maindecking loads of boardbreakers to counter this deck specifically. Actually insane how the deck can counter its own counters with some forward thinking. The powercreep is so real in this game right now. Every deck they release just seems so ludicrously better than every deck they released even just 2-3 years prior. Pretty soon long time staples of the game like shaddoll invoked, PK, Salad, Madolche, etc. just won't ever be able to compete anymore and won't even be viable rogue options if the powercreep continues at the pace it's going.Just when we all thought the power ceiling was finally being reached they decided to release multiple decks that fundamentally break the entire game.

I don't realistically think the deck's end board can be improved by any particular tech. Stuff like rose dragons for baronne look impressive but just make the deck more susceptible to dark ruler (although you could probably just play a random 3 tuner of choice instead since I don't think halq is surviving even in TCG). Instead, while this sounds weird, I think Overlap will see play as insurance, much like orange light was a search target for Drytron even with full combo. And this is where the beauty of potentially running desires comes in: you can get it back in rotation with Ariseheart and then add it with Papiyas. You can flip prepare to chain to dark ruler, then chain ariseheart to prepare banishing the dark ruler, to banish overlap and papiyas as cost. Add back overlap, presuming you got a Tearalament or Scareclaw to hand the prior turn. Now you have a negate that, while it can't deal with on-summon trigger effects unless the summon started a chain, can't be stopped by any conceivable hand trap or other commonly played card.

Ariseheart is actually ridiculous. If you play a bunch of Ultimate Slay targets and banish them with Prosperity he can attach ALL of them in a turn (one of the few cards to recycle banished face down) and if he's destroyed they all trigger.

I do play Chengying, It's a clean out to the decks 1 non going second weakness(dark ruler, tribute cards, etc) untargetable beat sticks that get over 3500, chengying can sit around 4k while making opp monsters smaller
