The new Lancia Ypsilon (2021 Facelift)

Imagine if the development team who were responsible for the Stratos, the 037 and the Delta HF were shown this and told this is all that will be left of Lancia by the early part of the 21st century.

Well they're not the first Italian automobile manufacturer to become a show of their former selves. Look at Iso or De Tomaso. Lancia is now part of Stellantis, which will give them an opportunity to vend the Ypsilon and the upcoming new version to a wider market beyond just Italy & the British Isles. And the existing Ypsilon is still one of the best B-segments around even though the basic design is a decade old now. Lancia have even spoken about this opportunity to recover and have also said that they're developing a new version of the classic Delta C-segment to compete with the VW Golf, Renault Megane, Ford Focus, etc.

Hopefully returning shortly with the merger of PSA & Fiat Chrysler (now Stellantis) Lancia has been put in their "Premium brand" group that includes DS & Alfa Romeo

It's a shame what Fiat did with Lancia. Where is Delta Integrale Competizione? Imagine what would happen if - instead of Panda Fiat would produce Lancia Delta similar to the one from 1980s! With price like Panda now. I'd buy one - But I'll never buy Panda.

I don't know who is in Fiat's management but they are making wrong decisions all the time. Example: Fiat 500L - what the Fk! is it?? It looks like poo. I can imagine it was designed in the toilet while designer had problem with.. you know..

Dovevano almeno introdurre una motorizzazione più potente, come il 1.0 turbo abbinato ad un allestimento sportivo, per attrarre il pubblico maschile, poi il cambio automatico, mi sembra doveroso offrirlo almeno come optional su una cittadina. I fari potevano essere full led sulle versioni top, aggiungere i sedili in pelle frau, nuovi cerchi in lega, tetto panoramico, magari rilanciare il piccolo 1.3 Diesel da 95 cavalli, affidabile e scattante. Macché... Questa macchina vende ancora bene perché nei concessionari Fiat non c’è più la punto, poi costa relativamente meno di altre vetture di segmento B e fa d’alternativa alla panda. Oggettivamente però per prezzo, dimensioni,caratteristiche tecniche, è una segmento A
