Totally agree Damien. Just took my first ride yesterday and had to use more throttle to fly the wing then dialed back the power for travel. It is a perfect setup to teach family and friends. I noticed that crossing big wakes from powercraft was much smoother and predictable than the prop. Small weight shifts translated to the wing as well as any of the prop options. If I was ordering a new setup the foldy and jetdrive would be my way to go. Still learning and swimming with foldy, lol. With less torque the inadvertent throttle off power is not an automatic swim for beginners as well. Keep the stoke coming!

@ishtarluesby5269 So you're using the jetfoil for wingfoiling when there's not enough wind?
@ishtarluesby5269 Жыл бұрын
@@pphawkeye my reference to the wing meant the front hydrofoil wing under water. I am just learning to “wing foil” now and would love to figure out how to use my efoil to learn faster. Have you seen any you tube videos where some one is doing that?

@@ishtarluesby5269 ah OK haha different wings... No I've not, but that's also my idea to use e-foil to help me better control my wingfoil's foil but haven't tried yet.

Wasnt' at all sure on first ride. I'm 230lbs and it was way sluggish at #8 setting that I was used to riding. Spent a couple of hours working up to #12 which is about the same performance as #8 with the original prop. It's just spinning faster. I do think in big waves/wake you might miss the torque of the old setup and being able to stand the front end up at low speeds, but otherwise we just love it. As noted SO smooth on and off throttle. Breaches are fun now and I sometimes repeat them 3 or 4 times just for fun. Throttle is much more useful.

I've tried this jet a few times now and it feels to me like the speed drop is pretty substantial when carving. To be fair, every time I've tried it was on fiberglass boards and with wings much larger than my standard Lift4 Pro 100Surf/36Glide setup.

What location are the ladies foiling at? Unless one is an expert riding waves, having a cover shroud around the prop just makes sense. Accidents happen when people are tired and confused. So it's all good until you're coming in to a difficult area to get out of the water (like in a surf break, on the side of a boat, or a jetty wall) and then you need both hands and you have the remote dangling around and you forgot to turn it off.

Location is in Idaho. Thank you for sharing your thoughts you rock!

if the remotes dangling the prop will not turn. also Its very very difficult if not impossible to get in the way of the prop. The wing is between you and it. The biggest danger is falling in front of the foil and having the wing hit you as i rides over you. That is why you should push off the board as you feel yourself losing balance

@@OldmanCrypto100 a dangling remote that is powered on is easy to forget about. If you go to grab the remote so it's not slapping up against something or if you put it in your pocket or life vest, the trigger can engage. This kind of stuff happens when one is tired or under stress. I'm just saying crap happens and one needs to be very vigilant in turning off the remote when it's no longer needed.

Hi can anyone advise me please I recently hired a efoil board at first I could get up on foil at power level 5 after 10 seconds on foil it started to slow down and I had to keep increasing the power level all the way to 20 and it still struggling to stay on foil and I had to foil pump out the corners to maintain enough speed Is this a brocken foil of flat battery?

Sounds like the battery. I would reach out to the company.

Cool video, but this "jet" looks more like a inclosed propelar with more restricted propguard not a real jet.
