Really useful frame by frame, thank you. Can I ask which KT foil you are riding? I am torn between the Atlas and the Nomad, I am 85kg and mainly ride in small waves and wind swell so was thinking the 960 Atlas as it has more glide.

Riding the 960 Atlas in this video. For small waves and swell I definitely recommend the Atlas over the Nomad. Got one 960 Atlas in stock right here if you are interested: wingfoilprocenter.com/products/kt-atlas-full-kit?_pos=1&_psq=Atlas&_ss=e&_v=1.0

Honest opinion: the 1360 should not be advertised as a replacement of the 1350. I’ve been using the 1350 for more than a year, and I recently “switched” to the 1360. Two different wings, I”m 93kg and I can tell the difference in area between the two . I can glide much more with the 1350. Maybe for a 70kg rider both wings are going to feel the same, but definitely not if you are heavier than that.

I came to the same conclusion after my first session with the 1360 today. Unfortunately, I didn’t read your comment before I bought it. I tried to beach start the 1360 for 2 hours and was not able to do it. With the 1350 it is easy for me.

@ they should come up with a 1460 with 1700 something cm2. That would be a true replacement for the 1350

Love your (Gwen and you) reviews and positive vibes. The AFS foils and foil system look sweet and I hear some raving respons from local riders. For now I'm happy with my Sabfoil gear (wish the smaller Razor Pro's would have a bit more top speed), but because you guys have used both brands: how would you compare the AFS Enduro foils against Sabfoil front wings? What line is most comparable, the Razor Pro?

Great review to make clear the length difference. It also was nice to see the curves on those wings that you cannot see in flat photos. For my 4'9" efoil I just ordered a 33 carve but it seems like I would get the same carvability with the 26 glide but less drag. Or is there something else that would be different between those two?
@DamienLeroyYouTube
@DamienLeroyYouTube 7 күн бұрын
The Carve will have a shorter fuselage so you will have a faster pitch in theory making it feel like it can turn better. It also will track in a turn without slipping as it has the winglets.

Hi gwen, I've been trying for a month to paddle and wing but I'm in a low wind area. I'm using the Armstrong 6.8" 96l board (I'm 75kg) with an Armstrong hs1550 v2, 72cm mast, 60cm fuselage and 300 back wing. Should I change the back wing and what is the recommended mast position? I have tha HA195 and a hs212 (chopped 232). Thank you!

I saw one of these looks pretty cool and owner loved itI don’t like harnesses either/ totally agree w u. cold water= 5mm mitts=15 min grip strength. I tried disposable latex gloves on 1 hand and was surprised that they help with no loss of grip strength. Hand didn’t stay dry but latex takes out the wind chill and u do get a wetsuit effect. Got some 2 mm mystic ease mitts w holes in palms coming. If that doesn’t work this is harness is next move. I can ride w latex gloves down to 50f air. latex gloves worth a shot to buy a few degrees to avoid thicker mitts or gloves and might be a good 1st layer below gloves

Great review guys. Both @hoppline and @DamienLeroyKZbin. Most of my questions have been answered. This could be my next front wing. I'm only nitpicking here but the name '1360' seems odd. Seeing how 1360 is in none of the measurements. Calling it the '1320' pro would not have been that bad, would it? Also mast for 65kg rider. I know @hoppline in the past has said the regular 73 mast is fine for light riders but can the same be said when riding with the 1360 pro?
@hoppline
@hoppline 7 күн бұрын
@@steveothedeveo Hey, thanks, really appreciate!! I am absolutely with you in terms of naming. I my eyes it's not only the number, I think the 1360 is a "Leviathan Pro" and the 1260 and smaller is something different, maybe a "Leviathan Downwind Pro" 🤣🤣. So names are a little confusing, but performance is great. I have had a similar surprise with some of the masts. The PIUMA 76P mast for example is only 74cm and the 86P is 84cm. Guess they just have to many products and to not have the same numbers they, at some point, skipped the concept of representing length or wingspan. To the mast, the 1150 was fine for me on the Leviathan 1150, so was the 1350. On the Leviathan Pro it was a different story. On the 1160 the Piuma mast was not strong enough and I could fell the twist. The 73 mast was okay and maybe I would have recommended to go with it. But once you have tried the 73P and Red Devil you can really feel the difference, especially on the Red Devil. I think it's because of the speed and maybe because of the more "radical" riding you can do on the Leviathan Pros. This increases applied forces. Like I said in my video, the Red Devil is a very nice and noticeable upgrade, but it's not a must. If you are 65 kg and have a 73 mast, just give it a go with the 1360 and see how it feels for you. If you are happy, keep it. If it feels soft and woobling, go for an upgrade. With 65kg the 73 mast should be strong enough to handle the 1360 (different story for heavier riders) Hope I could help....

I find that I get less tired on the 1360 because it's so efficient. Even though the 1350 is bigger, it has a lot of drag. I think I can go longer with the 1360

I have had my longest pump ever on the 1360, but I have to say I am only 65 kg. It's very efficient and if you bring it up close to the water surface a quick impulse is enough to keep it gliding. Surprisingly it also turns nice, has some speed to it and does okay in small waves.

@hoppline
@hoppline 7 күн бұрын
@@martinminar1949 Hey, I can pump close to 4 minutes, but long distance and endurance has never been on my list. With the 1360 is think I might give it a go and try to go for 5, 10 or 15 minutes. Most important thing for me always was to wakethief so I never needed more than 30 seconds of pumping to catch up with the boat. Stealing wakes and pumping from on wave to the other I have done 26 minute runs constantly on foil (on a Razor Pro 975 !!)

Great review! It would be super interesting to see a video of “Gwen’s favorite quiver of Sabfoil foils” or maybe even a beginners quiver, an average riders quiver and an advanced riders quiver. Just to see where the 1360 fits in. Also, Does Sabfoil have any intentions of taking this line the other way towards the smaller faster more maneuverable side, Competing with the Razor line? Love the videos. Keep them coming!
@hoppline
@hoppline 10 күн бұрын
Hey, I've been testing the 1360 for the last couple of weeks and it took me out of the "getting smaller and smaller" game. It's fast, playful, turns nice and still has the potential of going for long pumps and pushing the limits. Usually I would say a wing is more optimized towards beginners, intermediates or pros, but this one somehow does it all. I am 65 kg, would consider myself as a little more than average pumper and came from pumping a Razor 975 and 825. If someone would have told me that I would pump and enjoy a wing with a 1320mm span I would have laughed weeks ago. But now here I am, really enjoying this wing and thinking about breaking new long distance records....
