To be fair, the '19 fork would've felt like butter too on its first ride after a lower leg service..... that being said, thanks for the video!
@FanatikBikeCo5 жыл бұрын
True. Not a well controlled experiment. That said, neither fork is new. Riley has been on the Ultimate since March getting a feel for it. He'd been on his other Lyrik for eight months prior to that. Thanks for watching! Dan at Fanatik

How does it compare to the Fox 36 Grip2?

performance nearly the same, grip2 maybe a bit better for pros. But for normal user the Lyrik is absolutely enough

Hi! Thank you for your videos! It's great to see a person, who is a professional in his biusiness. Need your experience. Did you hear about charger 2 (not 2.1) having any common problems? Like oil leaking trough its compression switch? Saw it leaking in some youtube videos, now I'm little bit affraid of buing Lyrik 2019 with it.
@FanatikBikeCo5 жыл бұрын
That isn't something I've seen, but everything has problems from time to time. SRAM is very good with customer service though, and almost everything is fixable, so I wouldn't fret it if you find a good deal!

How is this fork for longer pedaling? Does it fully lock or has firmer moed for pedaling?

Cool vid. Can you provide the setting you dialed in. I'm struggling to find a good start point. Got sag, and pressure but it's all the others? Thanks

Is the 2021 Lyric RC with the DebonAir spring, Motion Control RC damper any better than these?
@FanatikBikeCo4 жыл бұрын
The new air spring does feel a bit better, and fixes the problem of the fork sagging in without any weight on it. If you already have a Lyrik, you can simply install a current air spring. It's an easy process, and if you're not comfortable with it or don't have the tools, a local shop should be able to do it easily as well. www.fanatikbike.com/products/rockshox-debonair-c1-35mm-air-spring-upgrade-kit-lyrik-yari?variant=31917548175406

Isn't the benefit of the 2020 it's adjustability? Why, then, would you put the 2019 settings on the 2020 fork?

ChrisJuliano you can get a Fox 36 831 in that spec
@FanatikBikeCo5 жыл бұрын
True. I have one, it's very good. Better than is really necessary for a DJ fork, I ended up stealing the GRIP2 damper out of it and swapping it to an older RC2 damper.

@@FanatikBikeCo What's the max travel on that Grip2 damper in the 831 fork? Is it the same Grip2 damper found in a Factory 36?

@@FanatikBikeCo Thats smart to swap the dampers since for a DJ its dumb to have a grip2 haha! I think i am going to pick up a 831
