The medivac energy upgrade is actually really good. It was already good against Zerg, because you are always running around stimming and taking damage on your bio, never having your medivacs run out of energy is a big plus. But on the new patch with disruptors not one-shotting marauders, you can also spend a lot of medivac energy just healing them up for 100hp each after they take a ball to the face, so the upgrade helps a lot there as well. Plus, when you get to max-out, it means you only need to spend about half the supply on medivacs to keep your army healed, so it saves supply which can for example partially mitigate the ghost being nerfed to 3 supply. If a game gets to idk 12 to 15 minutes in, you should definitely get that upgrade every time.

Cyclones are literally the reason I stopped playing a while ago. They feel like terribly designed units that do so much and are easy to control.

Wait a sec… at .58 delay, 5.0.11 Cyclone with mag field stabilizers up is 36.2 DPS. Not sure if my numbers are right, but if so, that’s about as much dps as a carrier for the lowly price of a stalker…. And then you get units like disruptor at only 4.7dps(about as much as a worker unless you get lucky and hit more than one), for cost greater than siege tank. Whatever this balance council is smoking, I need it😂

The rampant tribalism in the community seems to be reaching an all time peak. I dont know if its the US election or smth bringing out the worst in a lot of gamers, but its so exhausting and sad to see so many people, even in Pig comment sections my last bastion of sc2 positivity, engaging in hateful rhetoric spewing rather than actual discussions pertaining to how we can make the game more balanced and extend the communities shelf life even further. Maybe its because I value sustainaibility so high, maybe its because im a kid whos had sc2 for 75% of my life, but i get so sad seeing so many comment arguments accomplishing nothing except higher and higher tensions. We all have the same goal; maximizing both our enjoyment of the game and its lifespan. Lets commit to that harder! TLDR block people youre arguing with if no ground is made on either side after 5+ messages, youre just ranting angrily at each other and accomplishing nothing but higher tensions.

If you just block people you disagree with, you just end up with an echo chamber and people end up even MORE tribalised. The way to counter that is simply to be reasonable, listen to points and back up your oppinion. Even if people don't agree straight away, they often change their minds over time, but for that to happen you have to actually talk to each other.

oh wow i forgot about that ability. It was never particularly good from my memory, just gave good value over time. But in pitched battles the healing was too slow to be that effective. I wouldn't mind trying it out though
