Thank you for this study brother. I've been studying this subject lately of new moon day as the first day of the month vs new moon just meaning month in general. I am convinced of the former, and I am accumulating more proof to solidly confirm to myself what the truth is, and your study helps. Thank you.

I see it as in addition too ❤ like the merchants were so annoyed by them not being able to sell on sabbaths and new moons which would be pretty annoying. However I love this teaching and although im not at your understanding I am gleaning!

One thing that I have found in my studies to confirm the truth of the new moon being the key to Yah's calendar, is the fact that the moon time piece is called the Faithful Witness of the sky in Psalm 89, just like Yahshua is called the Faithful Witness in Revelations. WOW!!! Will you give us a study on this topic of the Faithful Witness, in reference to the moon, and how it compares to Yahshua??? Thnx. May Yah bless you.

Hi to anyone who can help me understand this, I am trying to understand the lunar- solar sabbath, currently been doing Saturday, what I don’t understand is the messiah death and resurrection of 3days and 3 nights with it being he raised the day after abib 15? Thanks for the information and shalom!

@@emjmnc Shalom my brother in Yahusha. I have a question that I've been trying to wrap my head around. If the new moon can't fall on one of the 6 working days, then why are we celebrating the new moon right after the last Sabbath of the month ? I follow the wlc calendar and the new moon falls on the day after the last Sabbath or on the second day after the last Sabbath all throughout the entire year.. Shouldn't the new moon start 7 days after the last Sabbath of the month ? Also, in creation week, what day was considered the new moon day? It lists 6 working days and then YAHUAH rested on the 7th..

Great study; however, if our annual sabbaths can fall on any of the six working days, yet we are to uphold them as holy sabbath days, why can’t the New Moon equally fall within those six days and also be upheld as holy sabbaths? Is it possible that the Ezekiel verse about the gates being opened on sabbaths AND new moons implies they will be opened on weekly sabbaths (outside the six days) AND monthly and annually (within those six days)? Isn’t that why the word “and” is there? In order to show that in addition to outside the six days, there will also be sabbaths within them?

We believe the only exception is Day of Atonement; all other annual Sabbaths fall on weekly Sabbaths, making them “high days.”

Do you celebrate new moon day the day after FVC or the day it appears itself? Also, can you tell me if you arrived at the conclusion of the lunar sabbath after reading someone's book or by a friend or by direct revelation from bible studies? I do believe the lunar sabbath is what is in the bible. Thank you brother

I was studying original Hebrew pictograph letters and the aleph bull horns look just like the crescent moon of the first month of the year.

I would like to ask you to explain me;how is it possible that sometimes there are 6-8 days inbetween the two phases of the moon, please help me to understand this… I also read in Scriptures ,how in the last days the moon and the stars will change their courses, can you comment on this?Sorry for my English is not to god😢

Your problem is that you worship on the day of Saturn, you have to keep a lunar calendar, which is one year divided into 13 months one month divided into 28 days, that way your Sabbath falls on a full moon or new moon, and then every seven days accordingly, there’s a full moon every 14 days and there’s a new moon every 14 days and then you have the seven day periods in between

With love brother, the word “moon” does not appear in Isaiah 66:22-23. The word “Chodesh” is used, not Yerach(moon). Edit: I’m glad you addressed this at 11:37. However, if they are in fact interchangeable(moon/month for “chodesh”) as you suggest, why do we see “month” used over 250 times and “moon” only 20 times? I feel this is important for us to realize.

As I’m checking the 1 Kings references, I’m seeing a disparity with the LXX. The Greek text does not have the last two verses of chapter 6 at all. And in 8:2, it does not agree with the Masoretic text which uses “yerach”/moon. The Greek simply has “month” not “moon”. Exodus 2:2, Again the LXX differs from the MSS and uses “month” not “moons”.

Yerach rather refers to moon cycles. Yirchim in Ex.2:2 is plural but it does not mean literal Moons, ie. 3 pcs of Moons

❓ I was asked a question and I'm struggling for the scripture to answer it. If God created everything in its mature form when he created the moon wouldn't it have been full. Why do we then say no moon is the new moon?

Mature form can be the form that is needed for the circumstance. A fourth day appointing of the moon (Gen. 1:14-19) likely refers to a four day old moon. (If you compare Psalm 81:3-6 with Numbers 33:3 you’ll see that the Israelites were delivered from (left) Egypt on the full moon which was the 15th day of the month. The opposite of full is empty, which takes us back to the 1st day of the month.)

That is not the seventh day sabbath, but the new moon sabbaths of the Mosaic Levitical law. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; *I will put my laws into their mind and write them in their hearts* and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: {Hebrews 8:1-10} (Jer 31:31-33)

The weekly Hebrew sabbath is our Friday. Saturday is the jewish sabbath and that is not Hebrew!

“New moon” is never mentioned in the Torah. It is a simple mistranslation. We are not to use the moon for any of His Holy days. We are self condemned: If there be found among you, within any of your gates which Yahuah Elohayka gives you, man or woman, that has wrought wickedness in the sight of Yahuah Elohayka, in transgressing his covenant, And has gone and served other elohiym, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded; And it be told you, and you have heard of it, and inquired diligently, and, behold, it be true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought in Yashar'el: Then shall you bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed that wicked thing, unto your gates, even that man or that woman, and shall stone them with stones, till they die. Month is H2320 Moon is H3394 And David [H1732] said [H559] unto Jonathan, [H3083] Behold, to morrow [H4279] 👉is the new moon, [H2320]👈 and I should not fail [H3427] to sit [H3427] with the king [H4428] at meat [H398]: but let me go [H7971], that I may hide [H5641] myself in the field [H7704] unto the third [H7992] day at even. Brother Mathew I know you are sincere in this teaching but I respectfully disagree. This is a very important issue since depending on who is correct regarding the moon and its role, either you or I am weekly breaking the Sabbath command. A potentially damnable practice. 15:50 Psalm 89 the 2 faithful witnesses, like Yehoshua said until heaven and earth pass away. This passage in no way is validating a lunar Sabbath or start of a month. That text is not calendrical at all. The stability of sun and moon are signs of the faithfulness of YHWH. Much more to say but I will leave it at that.

Amos 4: 7 : "And also I have withholden the rain from you, when there were yet """3 Months/Chodesh""" (is it talking about "3 MOONS" here? or 3 1st days of the 3 following Months???) to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered." chodesh are the four first day of the the four section of the biblical calendar in a year, and so chodesh is not "yareach/moon" ! even chodesh are The 4 Days of Remembrance of Noah ! Don’t be deceived. I love brother Matthew, but the moon and sun have lead so many people to an eternal grave. This is why He will do away with ALL the host of heaven.
