it was my day-off at the call center nung nasunog ang mall noong December 23, 2017. Nagulat na lang ako nang marinig ko mula sa suki naming tindera sa palengke na nasusunog na pala yung workplace namin habang bumibili ako ng swertres guide. Namatay yung dati kong supervisor, friends, and even ilan sa mga kasabay ko apply sa trabaho. Water under the bridge, yes, but this will probably be the only mall I will refrain from visiting.

Dont bother or hope for it. Their family is known for creating mysterious fires after 30-40 years of the malls operation. They didn't even bother to give a memorial or tribute to those who died there in the video.

@@PinoyBowlerGS92 there is definitely no call center that will be interested in their buildings or malls for that matter after that incident. This mall is only know for groceries only anyway. Nothing special. Might as well go to abreeza or sm.

Dapat ayusin nila ang design at wag tipirin ng wala ng mapahamak na mga employees. Wag tipirin in expense of other people. Walang nakulong sa nangyari noon dahil binayaran ang mga pamilya. 4:41 NCCC Mall VP aka Victoria Plaza was first opened in early 1990s as the first ever Shopping Mall in Davao City. Because of Carousel, giant ferris-wheels, and the iconic Giant Christmas Tree. That oldest mall in Davao was acquired by NCCC since 2019.

To be honest i only go to nccc Maa before, because of their supermarket and department store, not because of their tenants. I hope this time the design would be advance, beautiful and just amazing. Hahaha

the most important thing on a building is a safe place for workers, well educated area supervisors, building engineer supervisors, electrical engineer supervisor and department managers... the incident that took place where the new building will rise will forever be part of New City Commercial Corporation (NCCC) people of Davao WILL NEVER FORGET THAT DAY December 23, 2017.

Hindi yan intention ang sunog para lang modernize ang mall. Na remember pa nako mga renovations ginawa nila sa department store at supermarket and think about kung bakit wala sa prison yung mga NCCC management. Kung intention yan then wala unta nila gi renovate ang mall before nasunog.

I hope NCCC would have the best 24 Lane Bowling Center in Davao with competent Bowling Center staff unlike SM Bowling was full of cheap labored mechanics that aren’t even solving the problems especially they had Bowling League Groups to take care of. When it comes with Bowling, I don’t want it being treated as an arcade but it must be treated like it’s Competitive Sport.

I think it will be possible once its been fully constructed. I've heard that the newer NCCC Maa have a potential possibility to have Dairy Queen outlet in it and also it will have Ace Hardware like in Buhangin and not Hardwaremaxx anymore. But for now we should wait for 3-4 years and we'll see what the availability of its tenants for next couple of years.

@@P1utia I’m gonna be excited of the mall but at the same time, the Bowling center should be just like it was before that it’s a Tournament House but with more modernize equipment, Synthetic Lanes and Free Fall Pinsetters. As well as being one of the Philippine Bowling Federation proprietor members while promoting Bowling to the near by schools to grow the Sport of Bowling with Youth Bowlers.

I respect with that opinion but I really love NCCC because when I played Bowling there many times before the mall burned down, despite the issues they had the employees were trying their very best to fix them unlike SM Bowling from SM Lanang that they were horrible because they saw the issues but didn’t fix them. In my opinion that SM Supermalls is the worst mall company of having Bowling centers, the rest of the mall seems to be great but I will choose NCCC in the near future for a better Bowling Service especially Davao had 2 Sanctioned Bowling League Groups or Clubs.

The problem with NCCC and Gaisano, they don’t maintain cleanliness of their malls. Unlike SM and Ayala malls.

Nope, the cleanliness for me was not the problem, but the tiles are the problem. Some people are stereotyping the floors of JS, NCCC Centro, NCCC VP and probably in NCCC Main because of the 80s-90s look. This doesnt occur in NCCC Maa, most of the Gaisano malls and even NCCC Mall Buhangin. Because the tiles in there are alligned with SM and Ayala.
