I just have one issue with the phone 2a which I am using, Their are some times when the phone starts to lag a bit or becomes very jittery. And another thing is that their is a clear jitter when pulling down the notification shade that is what I hate really and it degrades the performance. I hope they fix that with an update.

I have both the Phone (2) and Phone 2a. I got the 2a for my dad last week, and after seeing the plus variant, I'm glad I didn't wait for it. To be honest, the "upgrade" in the plus variant is not very significant. I think Nothing is trying to compete in the "who has the most phone launches in a year" category, and they might win. But hey, we already have Realme, Oppo, and other brands dominating that tag. I really hope to see a significant change in the Phone (3) and that they make tech fun again. Again, no complaints with the (2) and 2a; both are good devices and serve their purpose well. Lastly, if you own any Nothing device, there's really no need to change it. Personally, I think it will cater to your needs.

Yes it's better of course BUT what keeps me from buying Phone 2 is that it will not get updates as long as 2a and 2a+ because it was released a year earlier. If we buy 2 now we'll only get 2 Android upgrades and 3 years security patches (2+3) whereas 2a and 2a+ gets 3+4 years when bought now.

Nothing's ufs 2.2 scored better than other brand's ufs 3.1 lol. (Just like apple's 12mp camera performs better than an avg android phone's 64mp camera, so numbers don't really mean anything) And the phones with ufs 4.0 mostly are performance centric, where the priority is performance and not the phone as a whole. Processor, the only valid reasoning I could come up with is that they were gonna stick with the same cpu, but mediatek hit them up with "hey, we just overclocked the same cpu u want, we can make you a sweet deal on it." So the 7350pro makes sense. Secondly a whole different cpu would have increased the phone's price, as it would have a different architecture so they would have to spend extra capital and resources to make everything work with that cpu architecture hence increasing the price.

@@Homiewithcash @Homiewithcash well, OnePlus has given 7gen 3 below 25k, but u don't realise; the cameras are degraded, build quality is degraded, instead of 3+4 update pattern they have given 2+3 update pattern not to mention the added bloatware. And again OnePlus is a much more older and established brand so it's easy for them to get better quotes for their components. No one even recommends the Nord ce4, unless u need a performance centric phone, and even if u want such thing, then poco performs way better. And there is something called a cpu architecture, u can't just put in a cpu and expect it to perform, each and every cpu has its own architecture which needs to be configured and optimised. If they change a cpu, it ll incur even more costs hence increasing the phone price, 7350 is just overclocked version of 7200 so same architecture. Coming to moto, it's a whole different story. Although it's a great device, the updates are really slow, it's a curved screen so preference varies. Even if the phone is water resistant upto ip68, it has a vegan leather back which If left wet can grow mould. And I never said it's great for its price, I just wanted to clear the misconceptions that why brands simply can't upgrade anything. Moto is great, nothing is great, they are apples and bananas. Nord 4 takes the win.

Nothing needs to avoid being the next Realme. The software is leagues better than Realme. The unnecessary launches and overpriced phones need to be avoided. I say overpriced because for the amount charged, not including a charger and cover is a rip-off. Also, they need to make sure camera quality does not suffer woth updates. I use the Phone 2 and the camera sux after the last two updates.

So, it seems that TW is definitely capable of calling a melon out, and kudos for that! However, for some reason it chose not to do so to the Realme 13 Pro series 🤔. I guess Realme simply pays more, whereas Nothing either just sends the device but doesn't pay for it, or pays less. Whatever may be the case, this new trend of relaunching essentially the same phone, with minor upgrades, is clearly a cash grab and helps companies increase the price gap between the predecessor and the real successor (which hopefully is at least a year apart and does bring actual upgrades) without the customers noticing. Well, guess what? Customers ARE noticing!
