Glad to see you’re looking into more lightweight gear, getting the overall kg down as low as possible will make such a difference to the amount of punishment your body is taking. Tent looks great, perfect size for you. Under 1kg is ace 👍🏻. Can’t wait to see it in action. All the best 🙏🏻

Thanks mate :). Yeah itl be a while until I cna walk further than 1.5 miles or with any ascent. Perhaps another more than 6 months least. But over that time I'm collecting the gear 😅😅 to be ultra light when hopefully I can get back to it. Yeah I'm really looking forward to it. If I cna be bothered when I finish work at 8pm tomorrow I'm gonna go a little local easy camp to try it :)

Love the geometry on that tent, built to shed rain and snowfall, no other tent comes near her angles.

Even for a three season I'm tempted to try it in winter

Does anybody have any recommendations for a 2-man lightweight tent? 😊

For a cheaper 2 person tent check out the Lanshan 2 pro. Lots of room inside, big vestibules and 2 doors. It’s a trekking pole tent and weighs just under 1kg. For a bit more money the Big Agnes copper spur hv ul 2 is superb. Best tent I ever owned 👍🏻

That thing can handle 40mph winds? You taking the mickey?
@GoSummitSolo
@GoSummitSolo 14 күн бұрын
@@VintageClips-rf7kt yeah pitched the correct way to the wind it holds strong . Wouldn't go beyond though. If wind changes direction overnight though yeah it would struggle would struggle. The original bobcat certainly takes 60a from all angles cuz i tested it on sulvien. Wind was coming from all ends 😂. Been there done that hahs I wouldn't trust this tent on summits in all conditions though only if a forecast was warm weather and pretty much same direction wind all night and low preferably. . 👍

Hi, im new to your channel, thanks for your content. I have the OEX Bobcat 1, in fact i have two of them, as you can guess i love the tent. I can only fault the tent for the sag of the inner, its not a major issue for me but it is a shame it cant be more taught without modification. Now, firstly, it looks like tge sag issue has been rectified in the tent you have, is that the case please? And second, out of interest is the hydrostatic head value of the ultra light version as good as the original? Thanks

As far as I know as I've taken. It out one. Ye sga is fixed way better. In terms of sturdy Ness it is very sturdy ye itl take a good gust. For a 3 season. Maybe the original is stronger though. I've taken a small break from posting because of my 2 serios injuries. But Thnak you for the follow x and I'll be back in action up the mountains once recovers. Gonna post now and again meantime to stay in touch x

@@RJ-pu8yh thank you. I've been in this position around 13 months now and I'm a bit worse. So I'm on the sick for a few months. To try sort as much as i can. Realistically it could be be anywhere from 6 months to another year though.

It's the wrong colour! It's a total bust! All tents should be either green or brown! It ought to be made a legal requirement! 😂

It's legal in Scotland to camp anywhere. Actually the more visable the better encase you ever need to be spotted if in an emergency. More so for winter camping that is, but still. When your camping remotely in Scotland n1 cares and that's all I do is camp remotely . So n1 sees the tent anyay cuz ur in the middle. Of. Knowhere. Maybe in England yeah that should be a rule ur right. But blue is the only colour they do them in. I don't mind the colour. Barely noticible as it's. Small for s tent x thanks for watching.

Hi GoSummit. Thanks for the reply. I'm Scottish and I live in Wales. I've just got back from a camping trip in the Peak District in England. Thanks for the review. Blue just isn't my colour. You don't sound too convinced about this tent. You mention a lot of negative points, but then try to convince yourself. Just saying! Enjoy all your adventures. Thanks for the share. Regards, Col. 😊
