There’s a truth to that to some degree but in reality, you actually can. Houston Rockets are a good example of that, so far this season they’ve been really good defensively, warriors are a even better example, they’re currently the #2 defense when they were like at the bottom of league rankings last year and yes, it’s only been a few games but the sample size is convincing enough and all it took was a Jerry Stackhouse invigorating them on defense which is a coaches job to do if the players themselves don’t naturally have that on defense.
