I will say the Paslode PPN guns can fire very fast, I use the recoil from the gun to push it into the next hole of the hanger, can get it all nailed in about 20 seconds, amazing bit of kit!

in excess of £800.00 I’m sure it’s a great must have Tool for the professionals, I can’t see this type of nail gun being a rarely used DIY hanging around in the shed tool.😉

Looks like a really useful tool Stuart. I was watching nervously as you were making adjustments to the business end of the nail gun, whilst the gas chamber was loaded and therefore able to shoot nails!

@@colmmcgarrigle5693 They will only fire if the tip is fully depressed & you press the trigger. Even in bump fire you still have to depress the tip fully for it to fire.

Problems with paslode is the reliability, I’ve had 5 of the framing nailers and always had problems, went over to hikoki and although the gun is heavier it’s a lot more reliable. Great innovation though

Couldn't imagine doing a set of floor joists with one, you'd be switching magazines every two minutes it would drive you mad. Easier, quicker, and more productive to have 2 guns.

Just out of curiosity if you do lose or damage the interchangeable Nosses how much are they to replace? None of the spare parts websites even seem to have the parts for this gun yet. I guarantee they will be silly money expensive & worse still if you can't get a replacement for weeks or months thats going to be an £800 paperweight 🫤😢 It's a nice concept but personally I will stick to two separate guns.

The Hikoki is still a great nailer and doesn’t have the hassle of gas cartridges like the Paslode.

@@sackville_bagginsess Trust me you won't regret the Hikoki this Combi thing will be jamming up & breaking in no time. Paslodes are already fussy as anything about what nails they will work reliably with & jam & misfire all the time already without interchangeable parts to screw up & get lost. I will be sticking with seperate nail gun & ppn. My really old Bostitch has outlasted all my mates Paslodes. I used the pneumatic Bostitch strap Nailer & Palm Nailer & while you got a air hose they are unbelievable reliable with all spare parts cheap & easy to get unlike Paslode who's spares are now so expensive it's often not worth repairing the tool. Enjoy the Hikoki 😊

Would this gun drive a nail through wood into masonry? I’ve got a huge cladding project to do on an exterior retaining wall and this would make short work of it…
@ProperDIY-ToolsandEffect
@ProperDIY-ToolsandEffect 5 күн бұрын
I think these nails will just bend. If you are going into concrete you could use a Spit or Hilti cartridge gun. That may be too aggressive for masonry though. Maybe try a cartridge gun and see - may have to use concrete screws instead.

Jeez Paslode guns are the flakiest nail guns going already I dread to think how unreliable this thing will be after some real work on site. My mates have had two or three Paslodes to my old original gas powered Bostitch that hasn't missed a beat, it even has it's original NiMh batteries LOL Also Paslode spare parts are getting so expensive it's often not worth repairing the gun. Which admittedly they aren't the only company guilty of this Milwaukee are the same.
