The New Purple CAT!!!

From Sunday the 27th of February 2022, the brand new Purple CAT launched operations between Elizabeth Quay Bus Station and UWA via QEII, allowing for a free bus option outside of the CBD to two of the most transport-demanding locations in Perth. This video explores the first ever service from UWA to Elizabeth Quay at 7:51 AM on the Sunday in real time. Unfortunately, I could not sit at the front to properly film the journey due to Transperth's Covid-19 restrictions to protect the bus driver, so it is much worse viewing it from the back of the bus, but it's better than nothing (I will make a proper time-lapse video once the seats open up again).

Do you think there will be like a orange or other colour cat bus route on the CAT bus system?

Maybe one day, like up to Maylands through Highgate, but not anytime soon. Orange CAT would very very cool though.

The CAT services in Fremantle used to called as Orange CAT, until they’ve split into Blue and Red routes. However their livery are still in Orange colour.
