The new refreshed 2024 Porsche Panamera…what’s new?!

I have ordered a 4S E Hybrid here in Chicago. A few observations. First, The Configurator for that model erroneously failed to optionally offer replacement of the red brake calipers with high gloss black calipers . After two weeks of back and forth, Porsche agreed that they had erred and to my pleasure that option is now available . Second, the Configurator shows as a standard feature the Sport Chrono gauge available , just like in the new Cayenne, as either a stop watch or a compass. However, the compass choice is not offered in the options section of the Configurator and I received an unintelligible response as to why-or if- that is the case. Third, I wanted the silver shade interior accents which include horizontal inserts under the headrests of the front seats if 18-way seats are ordered ( which I have done). But it is odd that such option does not provide symmetry by including the same inserts in the rear seats under their headrests. I was then told that no customization will be permitted on any Panamera-only 911s and 718s. I find this frustrating especially re the compass since it is readily offered on the Cayenne. Any input from you would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the comment and detailed order description. I'm impressed they had a Panamera 4S E hybrid order, we haven't received any allocations yet. Options are going to be limited due to the ongoing chip shortages and demand for the new redesigned Panamera Hybrids. It's either Porsche builds cars or tells you no so you have to take the good with the bad. Nobody wants to be told "No" which as a Porsche salesman I understand, and I assure you Porsche doesnt' want to say no but needs to work with what is available to them. The new 2024 Porsche Cayenne E Hybrid launch was delayed 3 times pushing out my customers orders from last November to this summer. This is the world we are living in, no easy way say it.

@@DerekBonzagni I’m trading in my 2014 Panamera 4S. Living in Chicago, it’s particularly annoying that there is no option for a rear window wiper-I use that all the time on my current Panamera. Almost as annoying is the limited exterior range of “normal” colors. I wanted night blue metallic or something similar but no dark blue is offered. Gentian is too in your face and many of the special colors are off the wall for us more senior buyers. I’m not spending $14,000 for paint to sample just to order a normal dark blue. At least Algarve Blue would have worked ( I canceled my new Cayenne Coupe when the upgraded Panamera 4S E Hybrid became an option).

I was just notified via the My.Porsche App that my ordered Panamera 4S E Hybrid delivery has been delayed from early August 2024 until late January 2025 because of the difficulty of obtaining certification for the Panamera Hybrid-needless to say, I am NOT HAPPY.

It has more trim than the usual, I think most will land in the $115k bracket which is normal in our world.
