I like when you review smaller trailers as well as the big ones. Super cute unit, but I completely agree with you about the dinnette.

Thanks we try to keep a variety going. They all have their special features and we always say 'there's a right RV out there for everyone' cause we all have different wants and priorities depending on which stage of RVing we are in at the moment and that changes too. So we gotta look at them all right? Thanks for watching.

Hi, my husband and I purchased the 2020 RPod 195 model. We agree that the ottomans were awkward to maneuver around when sitting at the table. The ottomans are used to support the table and cushions when the space is converted to a bed. We did not need the dinette area bed, so we removed the 4 screws that secured each ottoman and removed them. The small screw holes were plugged with silicone. My husband removed the legs of the table , next he installed 2 , 4” toilet flanges on the bottom of the table. He made a wooden base for the floor and installed 2, 4” toilet flanges to that . Finally he fashioned 2 posts,cut to a comfortable table height, from 4” plastic PVC pipe and placed them into the 4” toilet flanges on the wooden base and table. Now we can slide the table and sit at the table more comfortably without our knees hitting the table support. It’s very easy to assemble for use or break down for travel days. We purchased two, small folding stools to solve the need for extra seating. My husband also modified the hinged, bathroom door by changing it into a sliding door. He purchased a 24” , light weight, interior door from Home Depot and a ceiling mounted sliding door track . After installed, the door is kept closed for travel days by a window latch placed vertically on the door and door jamb. Now we have more space in the RV for movement when we have guests. The 2020 RPod 196 has some of these modifications.

Awesome, those are great solutions. It's too bad that R-pod hadn't thought it thru so you didn't have to but we are happy to hear that you found some good solutions. We love the door mount idea, sliders are waay better. It really is a nice little trailer and you sound like you are enjoying it. Thanks for watching and sharing your experience. We love hearing from owners.

@@DoesSizeMatter we bought an OffGrid Pando 2.0 in (late Fall) 2019, built in Edm. We had done much research, but honestly, little “boots on the ground” regarding offgrid type trailers. We have had numerous issues with the Company, too many to mention here. Although we’ve rectified said issues, it’s left us with a rather unsavoury taste in our mouths. We’re hoping to dump our OGT & buy a “manufactured” trailer, something like the R-Pod 195. Your description & honesty is very rewarding, emotionally, given the “sales job” we got from OffGrid. Buyers remorse? Uhmm... ya!!
@DoesSizeMatter3 жыл бұрын
@@gowman813 We are sorry to hear you have had a bad experience. The truth is none of them are perfect. We just think it is important for a buyer to see an RV for what it is so they can make an informed buying decision up front, which is pretty tough for a sales person to do. It's their job to make the sale. We are working on some tools to help folks become more informed about themselves, wants, needs and priorities and about different RV choices so they can make the best matches with hopefully the least buyer's remorse. Let us know if we can help you more. We do also do consulting. You can always email us at doessizematter99@gmail.com but hopefully the next one will go much more smoothly for you.

The strap is to hold the table in place on the sofa area when you are traveling.

Thanks for this great informative video and the construction video as well! I was looking at the RP-189, but now I'm considering the RP-195 because of the covered tanks.

We have a 2020 model. The ottomans are easily detached. We removed them completely...they don't really support anything with the slide in and they do get in the way. The strap is for securing the folded table in transit. The two dump valves don't bother me. The only thing I don't like is the flush port on the opposite side of the trailer...I don't get the logic of that. Otherwise, we love it.
@DoesSizeMatter3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with your R-pod. It's good to know about the ottomans and the strap. We did see value in the ottomans they just weren't working so well being fixed in place. We also hear your point about the flush being on the opposite side of the dump??? Not sure why that is. So great that you are loving it. It is a really nice trailer. Where will you go next? Thanks for watching and sharing.
@chemgk3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for letting me know that they were easily removed. I was thinking the exact same thing. I have some smaller ottomans at my home that I could use when I want to make the area more "couch-like" and less of a dining area. I also like the moveable table because it is a good amount of space to work or I can substitute with my bigger table I used for working while traveling. Fortunately, I'm really looking at this as a trailer for 1 person with the occasional guest, so it's perfect for me.

I love how detailed you are when you review the campers. Do you think a Chevy Colorado could pull this R-Pod
@DoesSizeMatter3 жыл бұрын
Thanks we are glad to help. We don't know what the towing capacity or payload of the Chevy Colorado is so we can't answer your question but that information should be on your vehicle maybe inside the door. Check that out and compare to the numbers of the trailer. Another great resource for info on tow vehicles is BTBRV on youtube. He's a great help. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching.
@chemgk3 жыл бұрын
I can tow this with my Toyota Highlander (5000 lbs).

Great Floorplan and design. We believe we spotted Kory's coffee mug in the kitchen. For that price you'd think it would come with its own wooden spoon. Great review as always, thank you!

Nice looks and nice design EXCEPT for separate dumps and the black tank wash on opposite side of dump valve. Imagine going back and forth, plus getting the dump station hose to other side of trailer??? Stationary ottomans.... What were they thinking. This was on the short list, but the E-Pro/Geo Pro wins again.
@DoesSizeMatter3 жыл бұрын
We hear your concerns. Lots of trailers are going to having 2 separate dumps and we are hoping to hear more from owner's using this system to see how it's going. They are both nice trailers but cool that you are liking the Geo Pro we really did too. Let us know when you get one. We'd love to hear your experience. Thanks for watching.

The reviewer does not know her product. In life we always are faced with bias. Like most any rv, Rpods have a laundry list of ongoing issues... Bill
@DoesSizeMatter2 жыл бұрын
As always our reviews are well researched before filming and we are completely unbiased as we receive no payment in any form from dealerships or manufacturers for our reviews. It is always just our honest opinions based on our extensive research and experience RVing. We can agree that all RVs have their weaknesses but the Rpods are doing just fine in comparison to their competition. Clearly you have had a bad experience and we are sorry to hear that and hope you are finding your way past it. You just can't apply you situation to all Rpods. Unacceptably it does seem to happen to all manufacturers, thankfully it is in the minority of RVs sold. Hope this helps some. Thanks for watching
